My Brow Routine

As I am sure you guys are already well aware, but I am huge fan of eyebrows and I am truly embracing my full and thick brows at the moment. I can remember growing up and absolutely despising my big caterpillar eyebrows because everybody else that I went to school with had non-existent brows and I stuck out like a sore thumb. I can remember hacking at my brows one day until I had thin sperm like eyebrows and my mother didn’t half scream at me. After that, I left my eyebrows alone and let them grow full and thick. Luckily for me, just as Cara Delavigne came onto the scene and made brows cool, I was already rocking quite the pair!

Over the years, I have tried our so many different products and I feel like I have found out what really works for me and how I want my brows to look. I don’t really need to thicken up my brows, but I do like to tidy them up a touch and make them look socially acceptable to go out of the house with. So, I thought that I would share with you guys how I do my brows and some of my sure-fire products that I always go back to time and time again, because they just work really well for me1

Define the shape
Firstly, I start out with the Benefit Goof Proof Pencil to define the shape of my brows. I take the pencil and draw a line underneath my brow just to help neaten the area in general. I will then fill in any sparse areas that I have throughout my brows with the same Goof Proof pencil.

Set them in place
Next, I take my trusty Anastasia Clear Brow Gel to lock all of the hairs into place. I normally place the comb at the base of my brow, and I brush the hairs and up then across. This helps to get a really full shape, without them looking too fluffy or spikey at the front of the brow.

Add depth
What I then do next is take some of the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade on a sharp angled brush and I go through my brows and add some depth to the tail of my brows. I start off in small hair like strokes in order to build up the depth of the colour in a very lightweight and natural kind of way.

Make the front look fuller
Once the Anastasia pomade has dried down, I then like to take my Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil and I go through and I add in some individual hairs to the front portion of my brow to get a very natural look. My hairs are pretty sparse from over-plucking in the middle, so I do need to concentrate some product there. I will then take my beauty blender and just tap that on the area, to lighten the area and make it look more natural!

I hope that you guys enjoyed this blog post and if you are looking for some new brow products that this post helps you out a touch. I feel like eyebrows are something that are very subjective and what may work for me, may be horrendous for somebody else. I had lots of trial and error, but I am so happy with what I am using at the moment. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know some of the steps in your brow routine!

  1. I love how in-depth you went into your routine! I naturally have a great brow shape and thick brows so I only use a clear brow gel to set them in place, or if I need to fill the front in, use my trusty NYX Micro Brow pencil. Great post!
