The Best Places I Have Ever Been

I thought that for today’s blog post, I would share with you guys some of the best places that I have had the pleasure to visit over the years. I am sure that you will already know this about me, especially if you follow me on Instagram, but I love to travel, and I do it at every single opportunity that I can. I have been so lucky in my life that my family has always had the luxury to go on holiday and because of my dad’s job, we hopped from country to country for quite a while. Now, I love to travel with my fiancé because we want to see as much of the world together before we decide to settle down and start a family. So, I thought that for today’s blog post, I would share with you guys some of my favourite places that I have travelled to and that I would highly recommend.

I feel like travel is one of them things that gives anybody absolutely invaluable life experience. You learn so much about yourself and the people that you are travelling with, while you are exploring new places with one another. When I first met Liam, I wanted to go on a gap year and see as much of the world as I could, but I didn’t want to leave him behind and he couldn’t afford to come with me, so now we do it in bitesize chunks and it is incredible. Anyway, here are some of my favourite places and why I love them so much!

Rome
I had to talk about Rome first because it is quite possible one of my favourite places on the planet. As a young girl, I always wanted to go to Rome because I am a huge fan of history and there is just so much to see and do. A couple of years back, we went to Rome and it was honestly the best holiday of my life. Everywhere you go and everything that you do is just steeped in so much history and it is simply to die for. We just spent whole days sat down near the Trevi Fountain, people watching and enjoying the view. We are even planning to go back on our honeymoon!

Vegas
The reason why I loved Vegas so much is because it was just so completely bonkers, that it was brilliant. I don’t know whether it was just because I had always wanted to go there, so by the time we actually went, it all seemed a little surreal. It really is like what you see in the movies and it is bloody mental. We stayed in a really lovely hotel and in the day time we went on incredible excursions like going to the Grand Canyon and by the evening we were sat in the casino, downing free cocktails and making a right laughing stock of ourselves. We just let our hair down and that is why I loved it so much!

Florence
I could not do this post without mentioning my beloved Florence. I loved Florence for the same reason that I loved Rome, such a historical town with so much to do. It holds a very special place in my heart. Everything about Florence is just to die for and I would move there tomorrow given half the chance. We can walk the streets for hours, stop for a glass of wine and a pizza in a side street restaurant and it is just simply blissful. I really couldn’t recommend this place enough and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Portugal
The other year, we wanted a cheap and cheerful holiday, so we decided that we would go to Portugal. I had never been to Portugal before because as a family when I was growing up, we would always opt for Spain rather than Portugal, but we decided that we would try something new. It was just such a lovely place and we had a lovely time. It was just such a relaxed place and the weather was unbelievable. I can see this being one of them places that we go back to a couple times because it is only a couple of hours on a plane from the UK!

Dubai
This is a place that I have been to a couple of times in my life and I even lived there for 6 months in my teenage years. My dad was temporarily relocated to Dubai and we all went with him. It was an incredible place at the time, but back then it was very much under construction still. Each time that I have been back to Dubai, you can see the continuing progress and it is so crazy to think how much has changed since I first started visiting. I would love to go back there again soon, plus I have a friend living there now, so I may have to visit!

Maldives
This is a place that I simply had to mention in this blog post. I first went to the Maldives around 10 years ago and I can remember falling in love with the place at the time. I then went back the other year with Liam and it was a dream come true. Picture paradise and that is what the Maldives is. Everything about the Maldives is just sheer perfection from the hotels, beaches, weather, sea, food and everything else in-between. It is a very strong contender as a honeymoon destination!

Amsterdam
The last place that I want to mention in this blog post has to be Amsterdam. I first went here a couple of years ago and we just had a blast. If you live in the UK, I feel like you simply have to go to Amsterdam. We got the ferry across and it was just so much fun. We boarded the ship around 4pm, drank all evening, fell into bed and then by the time we woke up the following morning, we were in Amsterdam. It is just such a relaxed city with a great vibe to it. The people are so relaxed and friendly, plus there is a great high-end area that is incredible for shopping!

I hope that you guys enjoyed this blog post because I really loved getting to look back through my holidays photos and reminisce about the incredible times that I had. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know what your favourite place is and why you love it so much!
