My Holy Grail Makeup Products

Today's blog post is going to be all about my holy grail makeup favourites. I have been wanting to do this blog post for such a long time and I am so happy that I am finally getting around to writing this for you. I feel like here on my blog I speak about so much makeup week in and week out and it can be hard to look through all of it and see what products I reach for all of the time and the ones that have been long reigning products in my ever-growing makeup collection. The products that I am going to mention in this blog post are items that I would undoubtedly choose over some of the other products that I have in my collection.

As I am sure that you guys might know by now that I am completely in love with makeup. I have always been the same when it comes to makeup and creating different looks, which means that now I am 24, I have a very vast makeup collection. I will admit that over the past couple of years I have got much better when it comes to buying makeup because I have really curbed my spending habits, but it is still extreme compared to other people who simply like makeup. I feel like as I get older, I am starting to really notice the products that work the best for me and I am sticking to them rather than buying something new to see if it would be even better. Anyway, here are my holy grail makeup favourites…

Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation
The first product that I want to mention in this blog post has to be the Hourglass Vanish Foundation Stick. I can remember when these were first released a couple of years ago, I knew that I was going to have to get my hands on a couple of shades. I now have round 6 shades in my makeup collection and I am completely adore every single one of them. These are super creamy and blendable foundation sticks that have such an incredible level of pigmentation. These blend into the skin like an absolute dream, they make the skin look like porcelain and they last beautifully all day long. To say that I am obsessed with his foundation would be a vast understatement!

I actually think that this was one of the first high-end makeup products that I ever bought, and I can remember been so excited at the time. Little did I know back then that this would very quickly turn into one of my most used makeup products and I would still be using it religiously to this day. What I love about this Benefit Porefessional is that it fills my pores in really well and gives me the most perfect blank canvas to go in with my other base products. This stuff just glides onto the skin like silk and you can see within an instant what it does to your skin. If I don’t use this product, I feel completely naked, which is why I always have one on the go in my makeup drawers and I have a spare one ready at all times!

Even though I may try out other powders over the years, it is always the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder that I come back to time and time again. I have used this powder for as long as I can remember and that is because the quality is unlike anything else that I have in my collection. This is a great powder for mattifying the skin and keeping your makeup in place all day long. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and it doesn’t cake up your face. I would even say that when this is on the face it almost feels like silk because of how finely milled the powder is. I think that one tub of this powder is around £30, which I think is pretty good going when you get 30g of product. This is one of them items that I know I will always have in my makeup collection!

I wanted this Tom Ford palette for a very long time before I went ahead and bought it and that is because the steep price tag put me off for a very long time. As much as I wanted this palette at the time, I didn’t know how much I would actually utilise both of the shades, so I talked myself out of buying it on more than one occasion. It wasn’t until I tried out a couple other Tom Ford products that I realised that the quality is just amazing, and I decided that I would finally go ahead and buy this Shade and Illuminate palette. The contouring shade is the perfect depth to add some definition to the face, without it being too heavy or thick on the skin and the illuminating shade adds such a beautiful sheen to the skin that make the skin look incredible!

When I saw this Benefit Brow Pencil for the first time, I really didn’t think that it was going to be for me. I had tried the Anastasia Brow Wiz in the past and I didn’t really rate that brow product, so I just thought that this was going to be the same. It wasn’t until I actually went into my local Boots store and had a play around with this Precisely My Brow Pencil that I realised that it was completely different. The quality is just amazing and since I bought it I have used it every single day. What I love is that this is a super pigmented yet creamy product, so with minimal effort or pressure, this glides through the brow hairs without a hitch and your brows are on and in place in no time at all.

I know that I have spoken about this specific lipstick so many times here on my blog, but I am so bloody in love with the shade of this lipstick that I cannot get over it. I can remember when I first bought this lipstick, I only got it because of the sassy name and I loved it. From the moment that I got this, I quickly realised that the shade of it was just to die for. This is a beautiful pink shade, which is slightly deeper than your normal pink shades, so it suits my more medium complexion absolutely perfectly. Whenever I actually wear lipstick, you can guarantee that most of the time I am going to be wearing this Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect shade!

MAC Stripdown Pencil
I cannot believe that this is one of the latest lip pencils that I have purchased, what the hell did I do before this MAC Stripdown Pencil? I own pretty much every single MAC Lip Liner that they have ever released, but this was one of the ones that I didn’t own. I can remember going through my collection and searching for a classic nude shade for my lip colour and I didn’t feel like I had anything, and I went online and everything that I looked at pointed towards this Stripdown Lip Pencil. From the very first moment that I tried this out, I knew that it was going to become one of my most used lip pencils ever and I was not wrong. This is just the most perfect colour and I am completely smitten with it!

There you have it, all of my go to holy grail makeup favourites. If you have followed my blog for some time, I am sure that you guys will have heard me talk about these products on more then one occasion over the years. If you want to see my full review on any of the items that I have mentioned, just click the name of the product above to be taken to that page. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know what some of your go to makeup products are and I will have to check them out for myself!
