What's In My Bag

I had no idea what I wanted to write about today, I knew I wanted to stay away from the beauty posts because I have been uploading so many of these recently. Plus, in the run up to Christmas I feel my creativity is somewhat lacking. In the end, I settled on something that I always love posting and that is a ‘What Is in My Bag’. I love reading these posts when other people upload them because I am just so nosey. I love seeing what other people have lurking in their handbags and they finally force me to go through my bag and give it a good old tidy up, which is something that it always needs.

The handbag that I am using at the moment, is the same one that I have been using for most of this past year. My beloved Louis Vuitton Neverfull Handbag has seen me through so much, plus it holds so much and that makes it perfect for me. This is such an iconic handbag and I know that I am going to love it for a very long time. This beauty set me back around £945, but with how much I use it and love it, it doesn’t owe me a penny back. That is all I think about when I spend money on high end items… Are they timeless and see me through many seasons? Anyway, here is a little nosey in my handbag!

Separating Insert
The first thing that I want to mention in this blog post and what I think is possibly the best thing that I have ever bought and that is the insert that I have in my handbag. When I first bought this handbag, I realised that things just seemed to roll all over and there was no order to it, because of how big the bag itself was. I bought this felt insert from Etsy for around £20 and I think it is worth its weight in gold. This gives the bag a big zip pouch which is perfect for my keys and phone. It also means that all of my little bags don’t move around too much and it is much easier to put my finger on something that I want!

iPhone
I cannot be without my iPhone. I know that it is really sad, but I am one of them people that has their phone in their hand at all times. I have had a mobile phone since I was 7 years old, so at this point it is just like having another limb. When I am out and about, my iPhone will always be in my handbag. I have the iPhone 7+, I could upgrade, but to be honest there isn’t a problem with my current iPhone and I actually really like it. Plus, from my iPhone I can manage my emails and check up on my blog, so it is a necessity.

Notepad & Pen
Even though I know that I could just make notes and doodles on my iPhone, I love to carry a pen and paper with me. I am such a fan of putting pen to paper and seeing an end result. Plus, with my OCD, I have a million things running through my mind at a time and if I don’t write things down immediately, my ideas and thoughts can be lost forever. Plus, I find it very relaxing having a little doodle every now and again. Some of my favourite notepads are from Paperchase!

Makeup Bag with Essentials
Each day, I carry with me a little makeup bag. My small makeup bag is by Dior and I have had it for years. It has everything in it that I could possibly need if I was to have a complete makeup meltdown. I have a cream foundation and a sponge to apply it with, my Charlotte Tilbruy Airbrush Finish Powder and a Morphe. I then also like to keep a mini Duo Lash Adhesive, in case I cry my false lashes off. Then lastly, I have a whole array of lip balms because I have the driest lips in the world!

Medication
For my second bag inside a bag, I have my medication bag. I am quite a sickly person and I always seem to have some kind of ailment. I make sure that I have a little bag on me at all times and in there I have everything that I could ever need. If I am out with family or even at work, people will come up to me if they ever need anything because I have everything, plasters, paracetamol, ibuprofen, antihistamines, buscopan, throat sweets and all different types of lotions and potions. I am like a walking pharmacy, just call me Karen Walker!

Tech Bag
Next, I have another bag inside my bag and this one contains all of my tech bits and pieces. In here, I have all of the things that keep me going on the go. In this little bag I have my earphones, external hard-drive, portable charger, memory cards and all other types of tech goodies. This just means that I never have to rummage through my handbag to find what I am after. Plus, when I set up to work, I can just get out this one little bag rather than have to carry the whole of my Louis Vuitton handbag with me!

Saint Laurent Sunglasses
Since I first bought these Saint Laurent Sunglasses many years ago, I have carried them with me everywhere I go. Even in the winter months, I have to keep these in my handbag with me. These were an expensive purchase, but I have to admit that I have got my money’s worth out of them over the years. They are just such a classic pair of sunglasses and they look great with every kind of look because of the black frames. Saint Laurent are one of my favourite brands and I love their line of sunglasses. I did buy these from an Italian company because they stopped selling them here in the UK, but they are worth it.

Victoria Secret Body Spray
Then, the last thing that I have but by no means least is the Victoria Secrets body spray. This is something that I have to carry with me at all times because you never know when you are going to need a spritz. I used to carry with me a bottle of Chanel No5, but over the years I must have lost hundreds of pounds worth of perfume, so I have now settled for this body spray. I have to admit that this Victoria Secrets Body Spray smells absolutely lovely. To start with, I thought this would smell like a sweet and sickly teenage girl, but I have to admit that it is bloody amazing!

There you have it, a little nosey in my handbag. I love writing these kinds of posts and having a rummage through. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know what you keep in your handbag and what you cannot be without!

  6. A separating insert is such a smart idea! I'm always moving things around in my bag trying to find one single thing! Lol. My must have items in my bag are hand sanitizer, visine, wallet, and mints!

  7. Such a fun read dear. And yes, I really believe everyone should bring a couple of basic meds with them inside their bag, especially for moms!
