My Updated Empties!

I feel like over the past couple of months I have been trying so many makeup items out and that means that I have accumulated quite a collection of empties. I love reading empties posts, because I think it helps to genuinely see what people are loving and using every single drop of. I used to try and do these posts quite regularly, but I got sick of collecting my empties and I ended up just throwing everything out. A couple months ago, I decided that I would dedicate a shelf just to my empties and I have to admit that it seemed to fill up pretty quickly and I thought that I would share them with you in today’s blog post.

Like I said, I think that these posts are a great insight into seeing the products not just that people like, but the products that people use on a daily basis and keep reaching for. I try out hell of a lot of new makeup thanks to my blog and even though I may do a glowing review on it and mention it in a favourites post or two, most of the time a product gets put back in my drawer pretty quickly as I am trailing something new. So, by seeing my empties, it helps myself to notice the products that I want to repurchase, and it stops me from wasting my money, or at least I like to think that it helps!

This was a foundation that I was actually surprised at just how much I enjoyed. I am sure that most of you will already know that this foundation has been around for years and just about every single YouTuber and Blogger has used and talked about this at some point. I guess curiosity just got the better of me and when I noticed that Debenhams started to sell Too Faced, I decided that I would give it a try. I have used this on and off for a couple of months and it is only then I realised that the bottle was empty that I realised just how often I find myself reaching for this and that is just because it is a great everyday foundation.

What I love about this foundation is that it is a medium coverage and that is something that I never thought that I would hear myself saying because I am a self-confessed full coverage lover. But, even though this Too Faced Born This Way Foundation does apply as a medium coverage, it can be easily being built up to be a lovely full coverage, whilst keeping its lovely lightweight feeling on the skin, which is why I always go back to it. Plus, I think that the colour selection is great for my medium skin tone because they have lots of various undertones to choose from.

I am sure that if you have visited my blog before over the past couple of months then you will know all about my love affair with this stunning foundation. I have been a fan of Nars foundations for the longest time and I think that it is safe to say that this is by a country mile my favourite. There really isn’t one thing that I would change about this foundation and that is probably why it is by far my most used base product and I seem to go through a full bottle every other month. I have even tried the newer Nars Radiant Longwear Foundation, but to me, the All Day Luminous is where it is at!

Everything about this Nars All Day Luminous Foundation is just perfection to me. From the full coverage finish to the beautiful way that it blends on to the skin, everything is just a winner in my book. I find myself reaching for this more or less everyday and that is because I know that when I apply this, it is going to look good on the skin and last well all-day long. Also, when it comes to this foundation I don’t have to worry about what other products I pair with it because everything just seems to work hand in hand with it and that is another reason why I love this so much.

I will be quite honest here and admit that I bought this Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil for one reason and that reason is that I saw Rosie Huntington Whitely using it on her snapchat and I knew that I had to try it out for myself. I popped it onto my wish list and that is where this stayed for quite a while. It wasn’t until I was one day aimlessly browsing through the Space NK website that I came across this and I decided that I should finally buy it and try it out for myself. I will admit that the first time I tried this out, I wasn’t entirely sold on it. But, I kept reaching for it and persevering with it and now it is my favourite brow product in my collection.

Without fail, this is the eyebrow product that I reach for day in and day out. I use this product to map out the shape of my brows and get the rough shape down. For some days, I will leave my brows at this because it is a super creamy product, it applies very smoothly, and the colour pay off and pigmentation is spot on. On other days, I will use this just as a guide and then I will go in with other products like the Benefit Precisely My Brow or Anastasia Brow Pomade to get a very full and natural looking set of brows. No matter how I put my brows on, this is always my base product that I continuously reach for.

This was a product that before I bought it, I was very unsure about. I had heard Charlotte Tilbury herself talk about this product so much in her tutorials and online and she made it sound like a miracle cream. I am always very sceptical when it comes to things like this because obviously she is going to make her own product sound amazing and try to sell them. In the end, I opted for a couple samples and I have to admit that I completely fell in love with how this felt on the skin and I went ahead and bought the full-size version for £70 from her website, which is the most expensive face cream that I have ever bought.

Even though I have been using this for probably the past 6 months and I have really enjoyed using it, I couldn’t tell you if all the claims that Charlotte Tilbury makes about this product are true. Apparently, it is meant to help skin damage, reduce pigmentation, help dark circles and a whole load more marketing jargon, I honestly couldn’t tell you if they are correct or not. But, I do love how this makes my skin feel. I go in with a generous amount of this in a morning before I go in with my makeup and then again in an evening as part of my skincare routine and it just makes my skin feel lovely and hydrated and that is why I am more than happy to pay another £70 for another tub.

I have mentioned this mascara so much over the past couple of years that I have been blogging. I think that this was one of the first high end mascaras that I had ever bought, and it is safe to say that I fell in love with it almost instantly. I will be quite honest here and admit that the only reason why I initially bought this YSL Shocking Mascara was because of the stunning gold packaging. Back then, I had just started my blog and branching out into flat lays and I knew that I wanted to buy this mascara because it would be a perfect addition. Anyway, the product surprised me, and I can quite confidently say that it is one of my all time favourite mascaras.

What I really like about this mascara is just how wet it is when you pull the wand from the tube. It coats your lashes in seconds and takes no effort at all. At first, I was worried that because it is so wet feeling that it would smudge and transfer around the eyes, but this stuff dries within a number of seconds and then it is locked into place and it isn’t going to move all day long. This is a great long-lasting mascara that I can apply in a morning and I know that I’m not going to have to worry about it all day long, plus it is super jet black and lovely and lengthening on the lashes!

I have spoken about this bronzer so many times here on my blog and I think that just shows how much I love it and how much I must use it. I feel like since I bought this Nars Laguna Bronzer, I could finally stop my hunt for the perfect bronzer. I have mentioned time and time again that I am a bronzing powder hoarder, so I had my eye on this cult classic Nars Laguna Bronzer for such a long time. I don’t know why I didn’t buy this sooner to be honesty because it is something that has been on my wish list for such a long time. When I finally got my hands on it, I fell in love with it and I have been using it ever since!

First up, the main thing that I love about this bronzer and the reason why I keep reaching for it time and time again is because of the stunning shade. I have worn this bronzer so many times and I am always amazed with the stunning tone of the shade. This is a very natural looking bronzer with the most stunning undertones which compliment such a wide variety of skin tones. When I apply this to the skin using my Tom Ford Bronzer Brush it looks so beautiful because it blends in like an absolute dream. Nars are always a winner in my book and this Laguna is such a stand out product!

This is an empty that has been sat on my shelf for quite a while, that I am ready to repurchase at any point because it really is one of my favourite perfumes. I am sure that if you have visited my blog in the past, you will know that I completely adore this Jo Malone Perfume in Pomegranate Noir. This has been a permanent perfume in my collection for a very long time and that is because it is simply stunning and unlike any other fragrance that I have tried before. I can remember when I first bought this perfume, I went into the Jo Malone store and this by a country mile was the stand out scent in the entire collection.

Since I first bought this perfume, I have always made sure that I have one sat on my shelf at all times that I can reach for whenever I want a very deep and musky kind of scent. I do find that this Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir perfume does tend to divide opinion. My mum for one, cannot stand this perfume because she thinks that it is far too strong, but on the other band, it is by a mile one of my most complimented perfumes whenever I wear it. I know that I tend to recommend Jo Malone all of the time, but it is brand that I am really behind, and I love reaching for it.

I know that this product will probably need no introduction because I feel like everybody has used and loved this product. I must have been using this foundation for close to two years now and I have to admit that it is a firm favourite in my makeup collection. I don’t even want to think about how many of these I have gone through since I first started using this Hourglass Vanish Foundation stick, because one thing that I will say about them is that you don’t get much product and I seem to burn through them like nobody’s business, which is never a good thing.

But when it comes to this foundation, the positives definitely outweigh the fact that I tend to get through these incredibly quickly. First up, they are so quick and easy to apply, and they only take two seconds for them to look incredible on the skin. The level of coverage is perfection and is super full coverage and hides all of my imperfections beautifully without making the skin appear thick or cakey. These are also incredibly creamy and blend into the skin like an absolute dream and that is why I own two different normal foundation shades as well as a highlighting and contouring shade!

I feel like I had to mention this Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Finish Powder because I am almost out of it. At the moment when I reach for it, I have to really swirl my brush into the edges to get any product on my brush. Where do I even start with this Charlotte Tilbury Powder? Before I first bought this powder, I had literally seen it all over the internet. I was desperate to try it, but I had a Chanel powder compact in my handbag that I really enjoyed using it. When that ran out, I decided that it was finally time to try something new and I opted for the stunning Airbrush Finish Powder.

I like to carry this powder with me in my handbag at all times. I have never set my entire face with this powder, because I like to opt for a translucent powder because I tend to use a lot of powder because of my oily skin. But, I find that this Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Finish Powder is stunning for blotting my face and helping to control my oils throughout the day. I find that by the time I get to midday, I need to touch up and I always reach for this powder and my Morphe E48 brush. I will just pat some of this powder into the areas where I need it and it instantly mattifies my skin and smooths out all imperfections and my skin look just as good as it did first thing in the morning when I first applied my makeup.

Anyway, there you have it. All of my empties over the past couple of months. I have already had to go ahead and repurchase all of these items because I really do love them, and I have enjoyed using them. I will leave a link to them all down below in case you want to check any of the items out. If you want to see my full review of any of the items mentioned just click the name of the item above to be taken to that page. Make sure to leave me a comment and let me know if you have tried any of these items and what you thought about them!

  6. Wow you seem to go through foundations very easily! Especially that vanish stick, it really puts me off buying it, as it's so expensive but people go through it like nothing else!
