Items I Will Always Repurchase

I thought that for today’s blog post, I would do another beauty update for you guys and this one is going to be all about the makeup and skincare products that I will always repurchase. I do hell of a lot of favourites posts here on my blog, but these products that I am going to mention are the best of the best in my opinion and that is why I use them all hell of a lot and use them all within an inch of their life. I have repurchased all of these products countless times in the past and I know that I will again in the future. I guess that you could class this as my best of the best makeup products.

I know that here on my blog, I talk about hell of a lot of makeup and that is why I like to do a post like this every now and again to tell you guys what I am really loving. I am sure that if you have visited my blog before, you will have heard me mention some of these products before and you will already know that I love them. But, if I mention a specific product regularly, it is because I really do believe in it and I am more than happy to continue spending my hard-earned money on these items. Anyway, without me rambling on anymore, here are the makeup items that I will always repurchase…

I am sure that you guys have heard me mention this Jo Malone perfume here on my blog before, but I felt like I had to talk about this in my blog post. When I look at my perfume collection, this is one of my most repurchased perfumes, right up there with my beloved Chanel No5. Long before I bought this Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede Perfume, I had seen so many people talk about it online and say that they absolutely loved it, so naturally it went onto my wish list and I had to try it out for myself. In the end, I took a risk and bought the 100ml bottle and I have been madly in love with it ever since.

If you are a fan of light smelling floral perfumes, look no further than this beautiful perfume. The quality of this perfume is just second to none and it smells absolutely divine. I love to wear this on its own, or I will layer it with my Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt and it makes the most perfect combination. This is lovely and long lasting on the skin and a little amount of this goes a very long way. Plus, with it being Jo Malone, you get such a cute bottle and gift bag when you go into the store and that is always a massive bonus in my opinion. I would highly recommend this to anybody, take yourself off into the Jo Malone store because the whole experience of buying from them is just to die for!

This is the first of Nars Foundations that I am going to mention in this blog post and that is because they are my favourite base products by a country mile. The Nars Sheer Glow Foundation was the first Nars foundation that I have ever tried, and I haven’t looked back since. For the longest time, I didn’t want to buy this foundation because I didn’t think that it would work with my oily skin. But in the end, curiosity really did get the better of me and I went ahead and bought this foundation from the House of Fraser, little did I know at the time that I would fall completely in love with this foundation.

Before I bought this foundation, I didn’t think that I would ever find a holy grail foundation. I have such awkward skin, so I thought that it was a big ask to try and find a product that is perfect for me in every single way. From the first moment that I started to use this, I knew that it was my new favourite. The way these glides onto the skin is just out if this world. The shade range is absolute perfection and I am sure that everybody would be able to find their shade in a Nars foundation. This is a luminous foundation, but that doesn’t make me oily, it just makes my skin look lovely and healthy. I think everybody should try this out for themselves at some point because it is beautiful!

I couldn’t mention the Nars Sheer Glow without mentioning the Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation. I tried this for the first time at the end of 2017 and I have been in love with it ever since. This is another product that was much like the Sheer Glow to me in that I didn’t think that this product was going to work for me, so I didn’t buy it for the longest time. It wasn’t until I started to use the Sheer Glow and I realised just how stunning it was that I realised that I should just go for it and finally get around to trying this All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation for myself.

When I first pumped some of this foundation out onto the back of my hand, I didn’t think this would work for me. It seemed to be as thin as water and I am a full coverage kind of girl and normally thin foundations mean that they are pretty sheer. That isn’t the case though with this Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation. This is a very thin consistency and it blends into the skin like an absolute dream, which is what makes me keep buying it time and time again. The coverage is just perfection and it covers absolutely everything on my skin with no building up or effort needed. Plus, this sits beautifully on my skin all day long and looks just as good at 8pm as it does at 7am when I first apply it. This is such a beautiful foundation and by a country mile one of my all-time favourites!

Now, I have to talk about the Hourglass Vanish Foundation Stick. Since this was first released, it has been one of my favourite foundations and I love to reach for this stuff. When it was first released, and I was seeing all of the people testing it on their YouTube channels, I knew that I had to get it to try it out for myself. Since I first bought this, it has quickly become one of my favourite foundations and I absolutely adore reaching for this for so many reasons. I am sure though, if you have visited my blog before, you will know just how much I love this foundation and how many of them I have bought over the past couple of years.

Firstly, the coverage is just sheer perfection. When I apply this sparsely around my face and blend it in using my Morphe M439 Brush, I get a full coverage look with no need to build the coverage up in any areas. This just gives a beautiful application straight away and I adore the way it looks on the skin. This is such a lightweight formula, so it feels like a dream when it is on your skin. I will say that this does make me a touch oily around my nose, but I will powder a little more throughout the day to have the overall finish and coverage of this foundation. It really is a beautiful foundation and I don’t even want to think how much I have spent on this foundation over the years!

I am sure that everybody is sick to death of hearing about the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, but it is just such an amazing product that I cannot get enough of. When this was first released, I didn’t want to try it out, because it is hard to get your hands on here in the UK. In the end, curiosity really did get the better of me and I ended up ordering this directly from Tarte and paying import tax, just to try and get my hands on it. From the first moment that I tried this Tarte Shape Tape Concealer out, I knew that it was going to be one of my all-time favourites and I have been using it ever since.

I am sure that you guys will know all about this product now because it is so talked about, but this is just ultimate coverage in a bottle. This is the first concealer that has been able to hide and deal with all of my darkness and hyperpigmentation, without any fuss. It goes on really smoothly, sits beautifully no the skin and blends out like an absolute dream. The staying power of this concealer is like nothing else that I have tried before, and I don’t notice any creasing when I reach for this product. I have tried many other concealers since this one was first released, but nothing really rivals it and that is why I go back to this time and time again.

Even though the Tarte Shape Tape has well and truly taken the top spot for me, this Nars Soft Matte Concealer really is a close second in my opinion. I can remember first seeing this a couple of years ago in a Carli Bybel makeup tutorial. She used this concealer and it looked incredible on her skin, little did I know at the time that it would be another 5 months until it was released here in the UK, so I spend so much time stalking the Space NK website, just to check if it had come into stock or not. From the moment that I got this through and started to use it, I realised just how much I love it.

The first thing that I want to mention about this concealer is the fact that it is so beautiful and creamy. I apply this to the face using my Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Brush and as you brush this onto the face, it looks like it makes the skin look so smooth and flawless. This completely hides all of the pores around my nose and camouflages my skin into looking absolutely perfect. I like to go in with this concealer in all of the areas that I want my skin to look clear and perfect, so around my nose, forehead and my chin and it does a great job at brightening and smoothing.

The only mascara that I am going to mention in this blog post is going to be the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. This is by a country mile, the most used mascara that I have in my collection and the one that I have purchased the most. I bought this mascara purely because of the stunning pink packaging. I never really intended on using this, I just thought that I would use it in flat lay photography as a nice little prop. It wasn’t until I actually started to use this mascara that I realised just how much I liked it and to be honest, I have been using it ever since.

First up, the thing that I love about this mascara that keeps me going back to it, is the way that it lifts my lashes to Jesus. With just the smallest amount of this mascara, I feel like my lashes are lifted right from the base of my lashes to the very tip. Because the brush is a hard-plastic wand, it gets in-between every single one of your natural lashes and separates them to give you a full and fanned out kind of look. I have tried many mascaras over the years, from drugstore to very expensive, and this is the one that I reach for every single morning without fail. If you haven’t tried this mascara out for yourself, I really couldn’t recommend it enough for you guys!

I cannot actually believe that I am only going to talk about one blog post, but I narrowed it down to this Milani Baked Bronzer. I am sure that if you have been to my blog before, you will know that I have an obsession when it comes to bronzers, so this was a hard one to try and narrow down. I think the most used and most repurchased bronzer in my collection has to be the Milani Baked Bronzer. I first tried this at the end of 2017 and since then I have worked my way through three of these, which for a powder product is actually really good going because I so rarely hit pan on bronzers.

The thing with this bronzer that makes me reach for it so often is the shade of the product. This is a very shimmery and glowing bronzer shade, which really does make you look like you have been out in the sun and caught a lovely tan. I will take this on my huge Tom Ford Bronzer brush and apply it to my face and then down my body to my chest and even my arms. This just makes me look so glowing and it makes my skin look so healthy. For the summer time, this is the only bronzer that I reach for. Plus, this is super cheap compared to some of the others that I have in my collection, so I mind using it quicker than others!

Even though I use around 4 different brow products on an everyday basis, I this blog post I am only going to mention one of them and that is the Anastasia Clear Brow Gel. The reason why I wanted to go with this one is because this is the only one that I reach for on a daily basis, no matter what else I am trying out at the same time. I first started using this around 4 years back and I must have to buy a new one every 6 months or so, because I go through this stuff like nobody’s business. I am sure that you guys will have heard of this over the years, but it is such a great staple makeup item.

The best thing about this Anastasia Clear Brow Gel in my opinion is the fact that it sets into place so firmly. I have very large natural eyebrows, and with one swipe of this through my brows, everything is set perfectly into place and I am good to go. I will use this after I have filled in my brows and I will even use it on makeup free days when I just want to tame my natural brow hairs. I feel like just a little slick of this polishes off any makeup look and stops my enormous eyebrows look somewhat normal. I have tried other brow gels, but nothing has been as good as this one in my opinion.

This is something that I have rediscovered over the past year and I am completely obsessed with it all over again. I can remember using this product around 5 years ago and at the time, I really did love it. I think the only thing that stopped me from using it was the fact that I was trailing so many other products and when this ran out, I didn’t bother to repurchase it. When I was in the MAC store one day, I saw this sitting on the display and I decided to give it another try for myself and I have to admit that I adore this product and it has quickly become one of my favourite products in my makeup collection.

What I like to do with this product is spritz my face with it when I have finished my makeup and I feel like it just does something that makes my whole look come together. I feel like when I use this MAC Fix +, I feel like it melts the powders that I put on my face into the liquid and cream products, so it gives me an overall flawless base. This is such a simple makeup item, but I feel like it has worked wonders for how my makeup and in particular my skin is looking at the moment. Plus, when I get in from work and I am heading back on out, I will spray some of this on my face and I feel much fresher!

When it comes to setting my makeup in place, there is one powder that I reach for every single morning without fail and that is the RCMA No Colour Powder. I used to use this powder many years ago when I was a freelance makeup artist and I feel like my love affair with this product started back then. I loved how it looked on my clients, so in the end, I started using it on myself and I love the finish and staying power of my makeup. Little did I know at the time that all of this time later I would still be using and absolutely loving this stunning RCMA No Colour Powder.

There is so much that I love about this powder that keeps me reaching for it time and time again. Firstly, in this tube of product you get almost 100g of product, which is more than three times what you would get in a normal setting powder. Plus, this is only around £11, which is a fraction of the price compared to other higher end powders out there on the market. This is a lovely finely milled powder that looks beautiful on the skin and really sets your makeup into place. I have an oily complexion, and this is just perfect for keeping my face matte all day long. If you haven’t tried this out, I would say treat yourself to it and you won’t regret it!

The last thing that I am going to talk about, but by no means least is the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk. I am sure that you guys will have heard of this product if you are a makeup lover like I am. This is one of Charlotte Tilbury’s most popular makeup products from her brand and it is one of my all-time favourites by her. I feel like when these lip liners were released, it was just a complete game changer and it set the bar for what I am looking for in a lip pencil. These have taken the world by storm and I have quite a collection of them going on now, but my favourite by a country mile is the shade Pillow Talk.

What I adore about this Lip Cheat is how it makes the lips look and feel. Because this is a beautiful and creamy product, not only does it line the lips very well, it also builds up the product in order to blur your natural lip line if you are slightly over drawing. As the name suggests, this really does cheat the shape of your natural lips. Plus, the shade of this in Pillow Talk is just to die for and really mimics the natural shade of my lips, but obviously looks hell of a lot better. I have a couple of these now and they are in my home, my car, handbag and even in my desk drawer at work. Such an incredible product.

I hope that you guys enjoyed this blog post. I really enjoyed writing this post for you guys because it gave me a chance to have a riffle through my makeup collection and dig some of my old favourites back out. As normal, I will leave a link to all of these items down below in case you want to check them out for yourself. Make sure to leave me a comment and let me know what some of the makeup items are that you always repurchase!

  5. I'm very curious about the nars all day luminous foundation but sheer glow didn't work on my skin so I'm quite wary and low key convinced that Nars base products don't work for me. x
