My Essential Blogging Equipment

This post is going to be all about the tools that I use in order to keep my blog up and running. It took quite a while for me to get to a point where everything is running like a well-oiled machine, but I am finally at a point where I am comfortable with everything that is happening and how things are running. I have had my blog for well over three years now and I honestly think that I wouldn’t be able to do it without a couple of key tools that I use and reach for on a daily basis that really give me a help in hand. So, I thought that for today’s blog post, I would share with you some of my key items, they really help me out…

MacBook
I know that a MacBook is an incredibly expensive purchase, but I really do think that mine is worth every single penny that I paid for it. I used to have a normal Windows laptop and then I upgraded to my stunning MacBook. With this, I can slip it into my handbag and work from anywhere in the world. It is super lightweight, stunning to look at and works like a dream. I have everything that I need saved on here as well as all of my images and it still works as quick as lightning. It was quite an investment, but I can see this working for many years and it has really helped me blog on the go!

Notepad
I cannot leave the house without having a notepad on me. I know that these days people just tend to write their notes on their phones, but there is nothing more that I like than putting pen to paper. I always make sure that I have a little notepad in my handbag so that I can jot things down when I am out and about. I used to get ideas in my head and I thought I would be able to remember then but by the time I sit down, they have completely slipped my mind. So, having a notepad and a pen with me, it makes sure that I don’t forget any of my ideas or things that I want to do over on my blog.

Calendar
I live my life by my calendar and whatever is on my calendar I what goes. Having OCD, it is hard to manage my workload on a daily basis and manage my blog. Every Sunday without fail I go through my calendar and I map out my week, so that it keeps me on the right track. I write what posts need to be wrote, what needs to be uploaded and when certain things need to be done by. It just helps me to stay in the right mindset and get everything done that I need to. I like to use my Google Calendar, so that it syncs up on all of my devices. I quit using my iCloud calendar after it accidently wiped last year!

Google Drive
When I first started blogging, I used to write my posts on Word documents and save them to my laptop. Then one morning my laptop took a tumble down the stairs and I lost everything that I had been working on, so I knew that it was time to move onto a cloud bases system. I love my Google Drive because I can have everything saved on there from all of content, spreadsheets and images. With Google Drive, I can access everything that I need from any device and it helps me to blog on the go and save up space on my computer and MacBook.

iPhone
My iPhone is something that I just cannot be without and that isn’t just because I am addicted to my phone, it is also because it allows me to work form anywhere. I can upload posts from my phone, reply to comments, sort my emails, post on social media and even map out my week. This just enables me to be able to work no matter where I am or what I am doing, and it is that what really helps me out stay on top of the workload. I can be sat in the waiting room at the dentist and filtering through my emails and it may only be an extra 10 minutes, but it makes such a difference overall.

My Camera
The last thing that I want to mention in this post is my trusty camera. I have a DSLR and I have noticed such a big difference in my photography since I started using it. Before, I was quite happy using my iPhone because it does have a decent camera on it, I just waned to try and step it up a notch. I think that once you see a difference that a good camera can make, it is hard to go back to how it was before.

So, there you have it, all of my go to blogging tools. Without these things I don’t think that I would be where I am today with my blog. They just help to keep everything running smoothly and they give me a help in hand every single day. I know things like the MacBook and camera are really expensive, but I wouldn’t talk about them if I really didn’t think that they were worth it. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know what some of your essential blogging tools are!

  1. I can't without my MACBOOK and IPHONE. I shoot and edit on my phone and then schedule and write posts on laptop - just so helpful to sync everything.

  3. Wow! You're ever so organised when it comes to tools for blogging!๐Ÿ˜… I like it. I have brought a notepad for blogging but for me it's just too pretty for all my scribbles and doodles of blog ideas so I tend to procrastinate the idea.๐Ÿ˜… Anyways, thanks for sharing!๐Ÿ˜Š

  4. I got my first MacBook back in college, and I cannot imagine having to work with Windows again. My first one lasted me nearly 8 years, and it still works, actually, I just needed an upgrade. So worth the investment. With Sony, I had to get a new laptop every 2 years.

  5. I definitely couldn't live without my Laptop or my Ipad when it comes to all things blogging & of course my phone for snapping the pictures. It's funny how we come to rely on lots of different things for our individual blogging style. I also couldn't function without my ring light.

  6. I love having an insight in to the tools other bloggers use, especially yours, your pictures are always beautiful! I use a chromebook for blogging as it was a cheaper option, it runs super fast and I really enjoy using it and having it all synced to my Google account :D I pay about £1.60 every month for extra cloud storage and use my DSLR and phone often too (I am that person who still emails things to themselves xD) xx
