Becca Ultimate Cover Creme Foundation Review

This Becca Ultimate Cover Cream Foundation has been on my beauty wish list for such a long time and I am so happy to finally have my hands on this product. I am sure that anybody who has visited my blog before will know that I have a slight obsession when it comes to foundations and I seem to collect them like they are going out of style. It is because of that reason, why I haven’t purchased this foundation sooner. I just seem to have so many in my foundation draw that I want to test out and use, that I just couldn’t bring myself to buy another one and add it to my ever-growing collection.

In the end, curiosity got the better of my and I ended up buying this from the Space NK website when I was buying my monthly renewal of the Hourglass Vanish Foundation Stick. I knew that I wanted to try this Becca Ultimate Cover Cream Foundation out after swatching it whilst I was doing a little shopping in Sephora when we were in Rome last year. I can remember that I just really loved the shade range and the level of coverage as I swatched it on the back of my hand. Anyway, now that I have been using this for a couple of months, I feel like it is about time to upload my review for you guys…

The first thing that I want to talk about and it is the thing that I always talk about first when it comes to my reviews and that is the packaging. The reason why I like to talk about the packaging first is because it is the first thing that you see about a product and I feel like it really sets the tone for the product itself. I do really like the packaging of this product. It has a sleek black tube and I love that it is made of plastic because that will make it great for travelling with. I also love that this comes with a pump because we all know that it is a bugbear of mine when you don’t get a pump. The only downside of the packaging to me is that it will be hard to see when you are running low on product!

Now I want to touch on something that is so important with a foundation and that is about the consistency of the foundation and how it blends into the skin. This is quite a thick feeling foundation. I would say that consistency wise it lies somewhere between the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation and the MAC Studio Fix Foundation for reference. I like to apply my foundation with a brush to the face and then I blend it out using my damp beauty blender. I feel that by applying the foundation in this way, it feels lovely and lightweight on the skin and still retains the coverage.

And that leads me on nicely to my next point and that is the coverage. This is a high coverage foundation and it is that what makes me really enjoy using it. When I go in even with the lightest amount of this foundation I know that it is going to cover everything that I need covering, beautifully and evenly. If I am having a bad skin day, which tends to happen around that horrible time of the month, this is the foundation that I reach for because it glides onto the skin with minimal effort and will hide all of my imperfections.

Something else that I just want to quickly mention about this foundation which I think is very incredible is the shade range. I have a very tanned/olive complexion and most of the time when I buy a foundation I have to pick my foundation shade from the deeper side of the range. I am in the shade Bamboo in this foundation and that is one of their medium shades that sits right into the middle of the range, and there are some beautiful deeper shades available. I am not saying that it has the best shade range that I have ever seen, but it certainly is along the right path.

One thing that I do have to say about this foundation which is another huge bonus is the staying power on the skin. I have combination skin, in some places I am dry and others I can get increasable oily throughout the day. This foundation when it is set in place with powder will last all day long and not break down or wear off. I wore this foundation for a 13-hour flight a couple of months back and it still looked just as good when I departed as it did when I first got on the plane. I think that this foundation would also be incredible for big occasions such as a wedding because of the staying power.

The last thing that I am going to mention in this post is the price. This Becca Ultimate Cover Cream Foundation set me back £34 from the Space NK website, which I think is a very reasonable price for a foundation with this level of coverage, bendability and longevity. I cannot see this being an everyday foundation for me with it being on the heavier side, but I know that when I need the extra coverage, this is the product that I will reach for. I will leave a link to this foundation down below in case you want to check it out for yourself. Make sure to leave me a comment and let me know if you have tried this foundation and what you thought about it!

  1. This sounds like a really good foundation! I have a similar complexion so I can relate to it being difficult to find a shade that suits me!
