My Favourite Movies At The Moment

I thought that for today’s blog post I would do something a little different and update you guys on some of my favourite movies. I have done posts like this before and they have always seemed to go down rally well, do I thought that I would catch you guys up on what I have been loving at the moment. Movies are such a huge part of my life. Growing up, me and my dad would sneak off to the cinema every single weekend without fail to watch something new. Even now, there is nothing more than I love than snuggling up in bed or on the sofa and putting on a good film.

I would say that at the moment, I am in love with more classic movies than I am new releases. I just think that there is something about older movies that makes them more classic than modern day films. I literally own hundreds of movies, and I have been adding to that almost constantly since I was around 15. Luckily, they are all on my Apple TV through iTunes, if I had that many DVD’s I would have one very cluttered house. What I love about having them through iTunes is that I can watch them through any device and anywhere I want. Anyway, I won’t ramble on anymore and I will jump into some of my favourite movies…

Harry Potter
I couldn’t do this post without mentioning Harry Potter. I am sure that most of you will already know that I have quite a major Harry Potter obsession. I don’t think that I could ever get bored of these movies. From when I first saw them when I was first released I was hooked on them and even now, all of this time later I am still so excited when I sit down to have a Harry Potter marathon. I love everything about them and I really could watch them one after the other on loop and never tire of them. These are absolutely incredible films and I think everybody needs to sit down and watch them!

Three Men and a Baby
This was a film that I only watched for the first time a couple of years back, but I am completely in love with it. This is an easy watching kind of film that is just really light-hearted and funny. The movie is about three grown men who live together in New York and a baby turns up at their doorstep and one of them is the father. Then the whole film is about them all taking on the role of being this babies dad and it is just such a lovely film to watch. Sometimes, we just all need something lovely and light-hearted.

You've Got Mail
This is another one of them movies that is just really easy watching. I call this my Sunday film, because almost every single Sunday as I am doing my nails I will put this movie on. I love anything with Tom Hanks in and this story is just so lovely. It is just such a lovely love story and it reminds me so much of the 90’s with the old dial up internet and online chat rooms. I don’t want to ruin the story for anybody out there who hasn’t seen this before, but it is just the loveliest story and one that you can watch over and over again and never get bored of it.

Guardians of The Galaxy 1 & 2
I am quite literally obsessed with the Guardians of the Galaxy’s movies. I am obsessed with all things Marvel and DC, so when this movie first came out I was completely balled over by it. I don’t even want to admit how often I must watch these films because it is far too often to be normal. The best thing about these films in my opinion other than the hunky Chris Pratt is the killer soundtrack. Both movies have the best soundtracks from the 70’s and 80’s and they are out of this world, they really are my kind of music!

Angels and Demons
I know that this is pretty old film now, it must be around 10 years old, but it is one that I am still obsessed with it. This is the 2nd movie in the Da Vinci Code series, but it is by a mile my favourite. What I adore about this movie is that it has historical ties, it has Tom Hanks and it is set around my favourite city in the world which is Rome. I love watching it and seeing all of the places that I have been. Plus, the storyline is just incredible, and it really gets you gripped to it. Over the years I must have seen this well over 100 times and I still adore it!

Justice League
I had to mention this movie for quite a few reasons, two of them being Henry Cavill and Jason Momoa. Who wouldn’t want to watch a film where these two absolute babes are running around for almost two hours. Henry Cavill has always been my absolute celebrity crush but seeing Jason Momoa as Aquaman just hits me hard. Plus, I love all DC films and I feel like I waited forever for this movie to finally be released. I know that this got hell of a lot of bad press when it was first released, but I am a huge fan!

Hot Fuzz
If you are looking or a comedy film, look no further than Hot Fuzz. When this film was first released I was in love with it, then I think I kind of forgot about it and I rediscovered it over the past couple of years and I am in love with it once again. This movie is just silly, and I find myself laughing out loud at it all of the time. It is just full of hilarious one liners and even though I expect them now, I still find them just as funny as the first time I ever watched it. Completely obsessed.

Rumour Has It
I feel like this movie never gets enough attention. This movie came out in 2005 and I have loved it ever since. First up, it has Jennifer Anniston in, which is always a winner because she is an absolute babe. The story revolves around the main character finding out that her family is the basis for the movie ‘The Graduate’. From there she tries to hunt down the man that nearly tore apart her parents’ marriage apart. It is just a twisted love story/rom com with a lot of twists and turns, but it is just a lovely film that is easy watching. Another really great Sunday film as I like to call them.

The Lizzie McGuire Movie
I had to mention this movie because it is all I have been watching over this past week or so. I am just in the middle of booking our summer holiday for next year and we are going back to Rome, as well as many other Italian cities, and that made me think of the Lizzie McGuire Movie. I have adored this film since I was a little girl and I am still not over it in the slightest. When I was in Rome last year I even recreated it at the Trevi Foundation and sand ‘What Dreams Are Made Of’, to my boyfriend in the Colosseum!

Jurassic World
Another Chris Pratt film, there shouldn’t be a surprise there. I am a huge sci-fi geek and when this film came out I was in love with it, and I still am. I must have watched this in the cinema around 8 times when it was first out. I just thought that it was such a great way to carry on the Jurassic Park legacy and I love putting this on. Not to mention that watching Chris Pratt run around for nearly two hours gives it major brownie points in my opinion!

There you have it, some of my favourites that I am loving at the minute. There are so many more that I could have mentioned, but this would have quickly turned into a very long post. I will do this again in a couple of months to update you guys again. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know what some of your favourite movies are at the moment and I will be sure to check them out!
