Clarins Instant Comfort Lip Oil Review

I wasn’t sure if I was going to do a post about this Clarins Instant Comfort Lip Oil because I don’t usually do posts about things like this, but I thought that I better because I am really obsessed with this. I have mentioned here on my blog so many times over the years that my lips are an absolute nightmare because of how dry they are. My lips have always been the same and it is somewhat of an awful family trait and no matter what products I have tried over the years to try and tackle it and have stunning smooth lips, nothing bloody works. Well, that was until I tried this lovely little thing from Clarins.

Clarins is a brand that I have never really tried much from before. It wasn’t until one evening when I was out having a meal with my family and my lips were cracking because they were so painfully dry when my aunty gave my her Clarins Instant Comfort Lip Oil to try out and I was hooked on it almost straight away. From the moment that I put the first bit onto my lips it was like instant relief that helped to hydrate and nourish them in a way that no other lip balm or oil has done before. Since then, I have been buying this religiously and I use it almost all of the time.

As normal with any product, the first thing that I am going to mention in this post is the packaging that it comes in. In the image up above, you will see the I have the mini version. I also have the larger full-sized version, but that is currently sat on my desk at work. I think these are perfect for shoving in my bag when I am heading out because they are so small. But, even though it is a tiny little thing, it lasts me forever and a day. I love the packaging and I think it really is ideal for this product, the wand applicator is really soft on the lips and it never leaks and gets sticky!

When I first apply this to my lips it is like an instant comfort. It soaks straight in and makes my lips feel hell of a lot better. I find that when I apply this, it lasts for a really long time and is nice and nourishing all day long. It doesn’t seem to wear off easily, I can eat and drink and not have to worry about it moving or transferring off. With this been an oil similar to a gloss, it can be quite sticky on the lips and on a windy day it can be a pain in the arse with my hair getting stuck in it, but the benefits of it really do outweigh something as simple as that.

Even if I am going a makeup look where I am wearing something on my lips whether it be a lipstick or a liquid lipstick, I will always go over the top with this. Depending on the kind of look that I want, I may just apply a small amount of this and then dab it in using my finger, or I will lather it up to get a really glossy finish. Whatever kind of look I am doing, I can guarantee you that I will be wearing this throughout the day.

Like any oil, once it is soaked into your skin or lips, it does need to be reapplied in order to keep it topped up and hydrated and that is why I keep these dotted all over the place. Like I said at the start of the post, I have tried out so many different things over the years to try and help with my painfully chapped lips that are a nightmare, but this is the only thing that I can see actually makes a really noticeable difference. I repurchase these all of the time and I think that just clearly shows how much I love and rate this product. It does the job that it says on the tin and I really could not ask for more from this.

I will leave a link to this product down below in case you want to check it our for yourself. I really do think that this Clarins Instant Comfort Lip Oil is worth its weight in gold and I am going to continue using it for a very long time. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know if you have tried this and what you thought about it as well as any of your favourites and I will have to try them out for myself!

  11. This sounds so good! I'm quite hooked on lip balms anyways. Funny how you put it overtop of lipstick, I would have thought it would go better underneath, but I've never tought of it that way! Might have to check this out more towards the winter times, will definitely keep it in mind!
