MAC Blusher in Well Dressed Review

It is time for another beauty item review and this blog post is going to be all about my latest addition to my MAC Pro Blush Palette. If you saw my blog post last month on the MAC Baby Blush or if you have followed my blog for a while, you may know that I am in the very long process of creating my own MAC Pro Blush Palette. I say that it has been a very long process because I have been building mine for the past two years or so now and I can finally say that I am close to finishing it and having something that is completely custom made where I love each and every single shade in it.

I will admit that creating a MAC Pro Blush Palette completely bespoke in the way that I have, does work out pretty expensive and that is why it has taken so long to get to this stage. The palette itself was around £10 and then each blusher shade from MAC is £15.50. So, by the time this is finished I will have spend just about over £100 on this blusher palette, which I know is hell of a lot of money when you can go out and buy ready-made Tarte and Benefit blush palettes for so much cheaper. The reason why I did it this way around is to make sure that I love every single shade in this palette, and I can quite confidently say that I do!

So, the shade that I picked to fill the fifth slot of my MAC Pro Palette is the shade Well Dressed. I picked this blusher purely because of how stunning I thought the shade itself was. With the summer starting to get mildly warmer, I thought that this would make such a great shade to wear during the warmer summer months because I think it would go stunning with a tan. Shade wise, I would say that this is very similar to Baby Blush that I did a post about last month, but this is ever so slightly deeper in shade, which makes it even more suitable for my skin and colouring.

With this being a MAC Blush, you know that the quality is going to be high and I can really confirm that for this blusher. When your swatch this product on the back of your hand it is so easy to see that it is a lovely and buttery formula, which is what I really want when it comes to blusher because it makes them nice and easy to blend into the skin and get a really flawless and natural look. This is one of the main reasons why I opted for MAC blushers to start with because I am yet to find one that doesn’t perform well or blend in nicely to the skin.

I think that this has made a really stunning addition to my makeup collection and I feel like it has filled a gap that I had in my blusher palette. I will actually say that this shade does quite closely resemble my good old favourite blusher the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush in the Shade Sex on Fire, which I am sure that everybody will know that it is my favourite and I wear it all of the time. And it makes me very happy that I have found a much cheaper alternative to that £35 blusher!

Anyway, I will leave this post here because there is no need to make it any longer. This is yet another winner for me and I am really enjoying it at the moment. It is a stunning shade and it blends into the skin like a dream and I really don’t think that you can ask for much more from a blusher. I will leave a link to this down below in case you want to check it out for yourself. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know what blushes you have been loving at the moment and I will be sure to check them out!

  4. As a blush addict you'd think I would have tried mac blushes before. I like the idea of picking up their blush pans and making my own little palette, that would definitely be easier to store than each blush seperately.

  7. honestly, Mac blushes last you a lifetime. They are so pigmented you only need a tiny little bit everytime. I've used mine for like 6 months straight, every single day, and it looked like I hadn't even touched it. I have Melba, it's such a pretty shade that you really don't find anywhere with any brand. Peachy and coraly shades usually have a slight shimmer to them, but this one doesn't. I think it would suit so many skin tones as well ;-)

I'm dying to see the finished result of your Mac blush palette!

  9. Absolutely gorgeous! Might be slightly too light for my skintone personally but I'm glad you've found a cheaper alternative to the CT blush - her products are SO expensive! Your dedication is amazing - I can't wait to see the finished palette! x
