My Huge Makeup Haul

My spending ban is officially over and I am now back to spending my hard-earned cash like it is going out of fashion. Even though this post is a pretty big makeup haul, it is still quite mild compared to some of the hauls that I have done in the past. I would say since around September last year I have been really good when it comes to spending money. Getting my own house has been in the forefront of my mind for months and it has stopped me from buying silly things. But I have been having a pretty tough time of it recently and I just really wanted to spend a little money and treat myself, even though I only felt good for a short while before I just felt guilty, the good feeling was nice while it lasted. I can already tell that this is going to be a really long post, so I will try and keep my rambling as short as possible. Anyway, here are all of the items, from my latest beauty haul…

Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil
I thought that I would mention this Benefit Brow Pencil first because I am completely obsessed with it. I have never really been a fan of brow pencils, I have tried so many of them over the years, but I just found them to be more hassle than they were worth. It just seemed to take me a hell of a lot longer to apply my brows using a pencil than it did with a pomade or a powder. But, I couldn’t deny how pretty this pencil looked, also all of the reviews that I have seen on this were all really positive, so I knew I wanted to try it out. To be honest, when they revamped all of their brow line, I have wanted to try everything out!

What has made me completely obsessed with this Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil is just how quick and easy it is to use. The product itself if super creamy and glides onto the skin so nice and smoothly. Many brow pencils that I have used are quite dry and I feel like they drag the skin, with this it is completely different. I feel like this has sped up how long it takes me to apply my brows and it is great for when I am travelling because I don’t need to carry any other product. I feel like I have finally found something to replace my favourite Hourglass Arch Brow Pencil that I have been using for years!

Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Palette
I actually mentioned this product in my latest favourites posts. I bought this more or less at the start of February, so I had a good month trailing it. I really fell head over heels with this product and I have been loving it so much. I know that Tom Ford is a really expensive beauty brand, but every item that I have used by Tom Ford so far has just been incredibly quality. Before I do make an expensive makeup purchase like this one, I make sure that I review the hell out of the products to make sure that I am buying something that I am actually going to like and use enough to get my money’s worth out of it. After much research I decided just to go for it and try it out.

I expected good things from this Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate palette, but this has by far, blown my expectations out of the water. I like to apply the deep shade everywhere that I usually contour and I will then blend it out with my damp Beauty Blender. Then for the illuminate shade, I just apply this using my ring finger to the high points of my face and I then go back over everything with my damp Beauty Blender to make sure that everything looks really smooth and seamless. I am only one month in and can already see a pretty major dent in this and I think that just shows how much I am loving it.

MAC Baby Blush
As some of you will know, for a while now, I have been creating my own MAC Pro Blush Palette. I have never really been a huge blusher fan, if I am spending my hard-earned cash, I would much rather buy a bronzer than a blush. But, after falling in love with the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush, I wanted to try some more out and see how they were. In the end, I settled on the idea of creating a MAC Pro Palette, I figured that at least that way, every single shade in the palette is something that I wanted to try and I know that I am going to use. In so many premade palettes, there are always going to be shades that you just don’t use.

I have quite a few shades in my MAC Pro Blush Palette now, but something that I feel like it was missing, was a nice and light shade. I wanted something that really would look like an incredibly natural flush to the skin, rather than chunky and obvious blusher. I went into the store and had a play around with them and this is the one that I ended up buying. I am really enjoying this recently and I feel like when I reach for this, my makeup looks much more pulled together and finished. Not to mention that with this being a MAC blusher, you know that the quality is going to be there and it is going to work really well and blend out nice.

Marc Jacobs Bronzer
I think that if you watch beauty YouTube channels, then the chances are that you will have seen this Marc Jacobs Bronzer mentioned so many times. As much as I wanted it, I just didn’t feel like I needed another bronzer in my life. I have so many in rotation at the moment and all of them I am really enjoying, so I just couldn’t bring myself to spend more money on a bronzer. Saying that, this isn’t the only bronzer that I am going to mention in this post, so I guess that I haven’t got very good willpower when it comes to bronzers. I am so glad that I got around to picking up this bronzer, I have only used it a couple times, but I am really enjoying how it looks.

What I am loving most about this bronzer is just how nice it applies and looks on the skin. It gives a really natural look and it kind of reminds me off the Nars Laguna, which I am sure people know that I am in love with. This just seems to be a really creamy and easily blendable bronzer which is what I am all about. I am going to see how this is with my skin over time, because in the past my skin has reacted a little strange when it comes to Marc Jacobs products. But, as with everything in this post, full reviews will be going live soon, so I will include all of the details in that post.

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation
I have been on the market for a new foundation for quite a while. Foundations are the thing that I tend to buy more than any other makeup product and believe it or not, I haven’t bought one in months. I have had my eye on some really pricey foundations, like the La Mer, but I’m just not ready to commit to spending that kind of money yet, so I thought that I would settle for this Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation. This has been on my radar for such a long time, but for some reason, I thought it would be a super light coverage, and I am never a fan of super light foundations.

But, the last time I had the privilege of visiting a Sephora, I decided to swatch this and see what it was like and I instantly fell in love with the coverage and the texture of the foundation on my skin. The only thing that prolonged me buying this foundation was that I was so in love with the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, that I didn’t feel the need to buy another Nars Foundation. Anyway, now that I have this I am hooked on it. Such a great foundation for day to day, as the name suggests it is an incredibly lightweight foundation. I will be doing a full review on this soon, so be sure to check that out.

Flutter Lashes in Intoxicating
I have had my eye on these Intoxicating lashes by Flutter Lashes for the longest time. For the longest time, I saw these all over YouTube and I could not deny that every single person that tried these on looked absolutely to die for and it really pulled their makeup looks together, which is why I wanted to try them out for myself. The only thing was that I couldn’t get my hands on these here in the UK, which is usually the case here in the UK. After scanning the internet for the longest time, I finally found these on the FalseEyelashes.co.uk website and I quickly checked out with them and I have been loving them ever since.

Quite often when I find eyelashes online that I want to try out, they never look as good on me as they do on the people online. I feel like whenever I put on dramatic eyelashes, they completely take over my eyes and that is because I don’t have a lot of lid space, so they just seem to take over. Even though these are dramatic eyelashes, they aren’t overpowering and I find that they just help to pull my whole makeup look together and I am obsessed with them. I have even bought more pairs of these to keep in my drawers because I have been reaching for these that often over the past month. I am in love with these lashes!

Farsali Unicorn Oil
I have had my eyes on this beauty oil for such a long time, but the first time I went to buy it I just thought that it was incredibly expensive for a face oil. I have used other face oils in the past, which I have liked and none of them have been quite this expensive. Nevertheless, it played on my mind and I knew that I would end up buying it. It was all of them bloody Instagram tutorials that really tempted me into buying it. You know the ones, where they apply it directly to the face and it drips down, the logistics of it are pretty stupid, but it always looks so good. So, I logged onto Cult Beauty and decided to treat myself.

I have noticed over the past couple of months that my skin has really been playing up. I have an oily complexion, but at the moment and I think it’s because of the cold weather, but certain areas of my face have been so incredibly dry, to the point that it looks like crate paper underneath my makeup. So, I am hoping that if I go in with this lightly underneath my foundation, just in the areas where I need it, it should start to help that, to make my skin look a little healthier. I also, think that this will be really nice mixed in with some of my foundations such as my stick foundations, which can be quite hard to blend sometimes.

Tom Ford Bronzer
I know, another Tom Ford product, please don’t shoot me guys. I have had my eye on this stunning bronzer for such a long time and I really wanted to purchase it, but I just couldn’t bring myself to spend this much on a bronzer when I already had others in my collection that I really liked. I have seen so many people talk about this bronzer over the past couple of years and each time I’ve seen it, I have been so tempted to buy it but it was solely the price that put me off from going for it. I will be very honest here and say that one of the main things that drew me towards this product was the stunning packaging.

This is one of the products that I am still to try because I am still trying other things out. Whenever I get anything Tom Ford, I try to leave it as pristine for a s long as possible. I can remember when I first got the Tom Ford Bronzer brush, I think it took me a month before I actually started using it because I wanted to keep it as perfect as possible, for as long as possible. I think I will probably start using this in the next week or so, now that I have all of my pictures of it looking perfect in the pan. I will say that in the pan, this bronzer does look slightly orange, but we will just have to wait and see what it looks like on the skin!

Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer
If you have read my blog for quite a while, then you will probably know that I have already tried out one of the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancers before. I got a shade before that more or less matched my skin tone so that I could wear it as a foundation. Little did I know at the time, just how thick and heavy it was as a foundation and it has ended up just sat in my drawer, not really getting used. Don’t get me wrong though, it is good for concealing with when I have an awkward blemish or I am wearing a lighter concealer and I want to go over with a little more coverage. But, I decided that it was time to treat myself to a lighter shade so that I can highlight and conceal my face with it.

I would say that the only thing that you really need to know about this Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer is just the level of coverage is second to none. As I am sure that everybody knows, I have been a huge fan of the Tarte Shape Tape for years now, but I wanted to try something new out seen as though I have hell of a lot of big occasions this year where I want my makeup to look perfection. I have tried this really lightly underneath my eyes and so far, I have been loving how it’s been looking, I cannot wait to try this more and give you guys my full review on this Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer.

MAC Clear Gloss
I have wanted a really good clear gloss for such a long time. I feel like glossy lips have really come into fashion again during the past 12 months and it is a look that I have been loving. As much as I loved the whole matte lip trend, my lips in reality are just too dry to go in with matte lip products every single day, so I opted for this and I am loving it. Even though over the past year I have picked up some great coloured glosses, I wanted a nice clear gloss, because I have so many incredibly lipsticks that I wanted to turn into gloss. I tried out a couple different lip glosses, but I wanted one that looked really nice and thick and that is why I love wanted to try this one!

To look at, this isn’t one of the fanciest lip glosses that I have ever used. At the side of some of the Tom Ford lip glosses that I have in my collection, this just doesn’t really compare. But for a good standard everyday lip gloss that is a good and reasonable price, then this is a great lip gloss. When I have been trying this out the past couple of weeks I have been squeezing a little onto the back of my hand and then just dabbing it onto my lips with my ring finger, so the end of the lip gloss doesn’t get mixed up with different lip colours. So far, this seems to be a winner, but I will have to see if this ends up drying out my lips in the long term, like many lip glosses can do.

MAC Fix +
I have tried this MAC Fix + before, but it was one of them things that I did like, I just never really got around to repurchasing it. I would say that the last time I used this was probably 4 years ago and at the time I can remember that I really loved it. So, when I was on the MAC website, I decided to go ahead and buy one. I have quite a few setting sprays in my collection at the moment, but I wanted a good and reliable one, that was a mid-range price. I am sure that this one was around £15, which I think it actually pretty good value for money considering how much product you get in the bottle.

The only thing that I could really remember about the MAC Fix +, other than the fact that I liked it, was that when I pressed the button down to spray it, it kind of sounded like duck quacking. And to be honest, it still sounds like that. I have only used this a couple times since I picked it up, but I am really liking how it looks so far. It just seems to allow all of my powders to mix in with my foundation and it makes me look much more natural than just a pile of powder. A full review will be coming on this soon so be sure to check it out.

Sorry for another incredibly long ass post, but there you have it, everything that I have bought recently. I am already loving more or less everything that I bought so be sure to keep an eye up for my full reviews on everything that I have mentioned. I am sure that a hell of a lot of these products will also be in many of my favourites posts. As normal, I will link to everything that I have mentioned down below in case you want to check it out. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know what some of the new items you’ve bought recently are.

  9. I just wrote that enefit eyebrow pencil among the products I want to buy! Even I have tried a lot of pencils but never any of them impressed me too much. I hope this makes the difference! I also tried the Nars Sheer Glow foundation and I liked it enough, now I'm using one from L'oreal and I feel good but I'd like to try something with greater coverage. Farsali oil tried me several times but I'm still not ready to spend all that money for a product like that, there are discrete facial oils at a much better price!
