Marc Jacobs Bronzing Powder Review

I can already imagine that everybody is sick of seeing and hearing about the Marc Jacobs bronzers by now, but I am so in love with it, so I thought it was about time that I did a post all about this stunning little baby. I am sure that if you are a beauty lover like I am, you will have seen this bronzer mentioned all over the show, especially the bronzer that was in the white packaging that was limited edition. As much as I wanted the limited-edition version of the bronzer, it was like gold dust to try and get my hands on, so in the end I went for the normal version and I have to say that it is one of the best bronzers that I have ever used, so I had to do a post all about it for you guys.

Whenever I buy a new makeup item, I give it at least three months of testing before I upload my post. I used to upload much faster than that when I got a new product, but I have found that products can affect my skin quite differently over a period of time. I bought this Marc Jacobs bronzer, just after the New Year and I have been using it ever since and I have to say that I am completely obsessed with it. Up until now I have been using either my Too Faced Sweet Heart Bronzer, or the Nars Laguna, but this has blown them out of the water and I really cannot seem to put it down at the moment.

The first thing that I want to mention about this bronzer is the packaging. Now, I don’t mind spending money on a good quality product, but I do like the packaging to reflect the price that I am paying. I have to say that I really love the packaging of this bronzer. I love that it is in a huge pan and I think it is just perfect for getting my large Tom Ford Bronzer Brush into. I also love how sleek the black packaging is and the open with a button is just such a lovely touch. As much as I would have liked the white packaging, I think that the black is much less maintenance because I imagine the white would get dirty quite quickly!

Second, thing that I want to briefly touch on is the price of this. I paid £30 for this bronzer from the Harrods website and even then, it was reduced from £35 in the sales. I know that to some this will be a lot of money for a bronzer but when you think of other bronzers it is rather a normal price for a high-end bronzer. I did however buy this from Harrods because it is the only place that I could find it here in the UK and for next day delivery they charge £12, which did hike the price up a little. But, compared to extortionate prices such as a Tom Ford Bronzer, it still isn’t too bad for the pan size of product that you get.

The main thing that I completely adore about this bronzer is the shade of it. If I don’t mind saying so myself, when it comes to bronzers I am a little bit of a pro. My weaknesses in makeup are foundations and bronzers, and I boast quite the extensive bronzer collection. Not only is the shade of this bronzer just so stunning when it is in the pan, when it is on my skin, especially when it is paired with my olive complexion it looks so pretty (if I do say so myself). I can hold my hands up and quite confidently say that it is one of the most stunning shades that I have ever used. There is no red running through it and it gives a really natural look to the skin.

I also want to mention how this blends on the skin. Over the months that I have been trying this out, I have really been trying to put it through its paces and seeing how it works with different products and using it with different brushes. No matter what I have thrown at this bronzer and what I pair it with, it looks stunning on the skin and blends in like a dream. The formula of this bronzer is so incredible and buttery, just by swatching this product you can tell how nice and creamy it is to the touch, which I love because it is that property that makes it glide on the skin so beautifully and softly.

I don’t think that I could possibly big this Marc Jacobs bronzer up anymore. I don’t really know what else I could say about this to get my point across that it is one of my favourite items from my collection and one that I keep on reaching for. I will leave a link to this bronzer down below in case you want to check it out for yourself. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know if you have tried this out and what you thought about it, if not tell me what bronzers you have been loving recently and I will be sure to check them out!

  5. Oh wow that bronzer is gorgeous! I've not owned a high end bronzer, but I've heard quite good things about Marc Jacob's bronzer formula and love that the shade isn't too orange or ashy which I find with a lot of bronzers for my skintone! xx

  6. Wow, glad you like this one so much! It's a good thing you're using it a lot, as I would never be able to use this one up eventually! Marc Jacobs packaging is so stunning, I love how it all sort of looks the same.
The one in the white packaging was a limited edition one, and the shade of that bronzer was slightly different as well. I believe it was a bit more orange or a bit lighter in tone? Not sure, I did swatch it at some point when I was in Harrods and it looked amazing, but didn't end up buying it. Now I regret that decision :'D
