MAC Baby Blush Review

I thought that it was about time that I bought myself another MAC blusher and popped it into my MAC Pro Blush Palette. If you have followed my blog for a while, you may know that I have been creating my own MAC Pro Palette for quite a while, it has actually turned into quite the labour of love over the past year or so. Even though I love how blush looks on other people, I have never really been a fan of it on myself, but I cannot deny that when I wear it, it lifts and brightens my face, so I am forcing myself to get into it. To make sure that I am only buying shades that work well for me, every couple of months I am treating myself to a new shade and building up myself a little blusher collection. And the latest one that I have added to my collection is MAC Baby Blush.

This is a product that I always tend to admire when I go up to a MAC counter or into a MAC store, it just looks so pretty and soft. But, with my deep olive skin tone, I was unsure if this would work for me and my colouring. My fear was that it was going to be far too light for me and I would end up looking like a clown. After much thinking about it, I finally decided to go for it and I couldn’t be happier with this blusher and I am wearing it all of the time. I actually think that this could have overtaken my trusty Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic in Sex on Fire for my most worn blusher, especially over the past couple of months.

I feel like MAC blushes and their eyeshadows for that matter are becoming less talked about. I think that because there are so many incredible brands out there at the moment, the old reliable brands such as MAC are taking a little bit of a backseat, but I still love the brand and it was my go to cosmetics when I was working as a freelance makeup artist doing bridal looks. That is why I opted for MAC blushes over anything else, because you know that no matter what shade you buy or from what collection it is from, the quality is going to be there and it is going to do the job really well.

If you have read my blog before, then you may already know that I am a huge fan of bronzer and I do tend to wear bronzer hell of a lot more than I do blusher, I have also been known to go into the bronzer with quite a heavy hand. And when I am bronzed up to the heavens, that is when I like to go in with this MAC Blusher in the shade Baby Blush. Because it is such a light pink, it really brightens my makeup and makes it look much more radiant and natural. As normal whenever I apply blusher I will always use my Morphe E4 Brush to apply it and then I blend it into the skin using my trusty MAC 187 Duo Fibre Brush.

I have also tried this blusher out on my sister who has very fair skin and it even looks very pretty on her colouring, I think she is even planning on wearing this on her wedding day because it looks like a really natural and light flush to her skin. I also want to mention that no matter what products I pair this with, it always seems to work really stunningly, and it is gorgeous!

I won’t make this post ramble on for much longer because there is just no need. This is a stunning blush by MAC. The colour is to die for and it compliments so many skin tones. The blusher is a really nice and high quality that blends in and looks like a dream on the skin. Not to mention that it is a perfect price for a blusher of this quality when compared to other brands such as Charlotte Tilbury and Tom Ford. I really would highly recommend this blusher because I think that it is a great contender for other high-end blushers that are out there on the market at the minute.

I will leave a link to this product down below in case you want to check it out for yourself. Also, make sure that you leave me a comment down below and let me know what your favourite blusher is at the moment and I will have to check it out for myself!

  1. I agree with you that MAC is a brand that gets less and less talked about since there are so many great brands out there but everything I tried so far from MAC has been amazing. And also, the makeup artist that will do my wedding makeup uses only MAC so I am happy she will create an amazing and long lasting result on me! x

  4. I seriously need to dive into the world of mac blushes! Being a blush junkie you'd think I would have tried some mac blushes - I definitely want to get myself warm soul as well as a bunch of blush pans to put in a palette.

  5. It looks gorgeous, but I too would be worried it'd be too pale for me. What's the deeper, dusky pink in the left hand corner called? That's more me! xx
