A Haul For Myself This Christmas

I know that when we are this close to Christmas that I probably shouldn’t put in a good old makeup haul, but I just couldn’t resist. I cannot remember the last time I put in a big order a I feel like I was well overdue a spending spree. At the moment, me and my other half are trying to save money, and as nice it is to look in our bank account and see it looking really healthy, money just seems to burn a hole in my pocket. I didn’t want to go too mad and end up in trouble, so I bought just a few little items that I have had my eye on for a while, that I really wanted to try out.
I think compared to some of the hauls that I used to upload on my blog, this one is actually pretty mild, it is just that some of the items cost quite a bit of money. Some of the things I have already tried out and the others are still sitting on my pile of new things to try out, but I thought that I would share that with you for todays blog post. I will try and keep this short and sweet because we all know how I can ramble on when I want to. Anyway, here is my Christmas makeup haul…

Huda Beauty Lashes in Samantha
I am sure that I have said it before here on my blog, but I have only bought one pair of Huda Beauty lashes in the past and they weren’t really a winner in my book. The style that I bought first was Scarlett and even though they were very pretty, they were just far too thick with a really thick band, so they didn’t sit nicely on the eyes. I thought that I would give them another try, which is why I picked these up in the style Samantha. They seem much fluffier and wispier than the Scarlett lashes that I bought, so I cannot wait to try these out. I think I will get lots of wear out of these throughout the festive period!

Cover FX Matte Primer
Over the past couple of months, I have slowly but surely been trying out more items by Cover FX. It is a brand that never seems to fail in my book, so I am desperate to get my hands on some more goodies by them. Even though their cream foundations are high up on my list to try out, I thought that I would start things out with a primer and when I saw that they had a matte one, I had to try it. I have used this a couple times over the past week and it does seem to do the job of mattifying my face, but I have only worn it to work when I am sat behind my desk, once I have put it through its paces a little, I will do a post and update you guys on how I am liking it.

Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil
As much as I wanted this Benefit brow pencil when it was first released, I just couldn’t help but think that I already had far too many eyebrow pencils in my collection. But, I thought it was about time that I just went for this and tried it out for myself and so far, so good. I can quite confidently say that I have been reaching for this hell of a lot more than I ever did the Anastasia Brow Wiz, it is much more creamier and easier to work with in my opinion. We will just have to see if I start reaching for it on a daily basis like I do my Hourglass Arch Brow Pencil which has been my baby for a very long time.

Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Cream Palette
I cannot believe that it has taken me so long to go ahead and buy this Tom Ford product. I think this has been on my wishlist for going on 4 years and I have only just committed to spending the money. I think with this being £56 it kind of put me off from trying it straight away. But as some of you will already know, I have been trying out some other Tom Ford products recently and really loving them, so I thought it was about time that I gave this a go, and so far, it is sheer perfection!

Nars Luminous Weightless Foundation
I have had my eye on this foundation for the longest time, god knows why I haven’t tried it out sooner. I think it is partly to do because I have been so obsessed with the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, I just didn’t see the point in buying this when I already had an amazing holy grail Nars Foundation. I have tried this a few times already and I have been loving it so far. A full review will be coming on it soon where I give you all of the details on how it works for me, just know that it is a sure-fire winner!

Chanel No5 Perfume
This should probably go without saying really, I had to stock up on my little baby. This winter I have made a conscious effort to try and stay away from Chanel No5 and try out some new perfumes, but I just cannot put this down. I think when something works so well for you, you should just run with it and that is what I do with this Chanel No5. If you have been reading my blog for some time already, you will know that I have loved this for years and my love affair is still going strong. Just wish that I didn’t have to buy a £105 perfume, this close to Christmas!

There you have it, all of the bits that I bought in my little haul. I cannot wait to try out all of these and see how they work together. I can tell that I am going to be reaching through these a lot throughout December and January. As usual, I will leave a link down below to all of the items that I have mentioned in case you want to try them out for yourself. Also, make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know what you have been loving recently and I will be sure to check it out!
