My Favourite Primer Duo

For the longest time I thought that primers were just a bit of a fad. I just think I had never found the right one before so I just kind of tossed them to one side and tarnished them with the same brush, that they just didn’t work. Then I tried these two out and everything completely changed.

The two products that I am on about is the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Primer and the Benefit Porefessional Primer. I have been using these two primers together for about a month now and I am obsessed with them, so I thought I would do a post and let you know what I have been doing.

I love the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Primer because it just makes my skin look awake and healthy. Normally because I wear so many full coverage foundations and concealers that it can make my face look a little two-dimensional and flat. Then Wonderglow Primer just makes the skin look like it is glowing. But, glowing products tend not to work too well when it comes to my oily skin tone.

Which is where the Benefit Porefessional comes into play. I have done a post about this product really in depth before on my blog and mentioned how much I love it. It really does help to keep my oils under control and I don’t have to blot or worry about looking shiny all day long.

So, what I do is take my Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Primer and I apply this to the outer areas of my face and on my cheeks. I do this because I don’t get oily in these area and then when I apply the foundation it will just look like I am going from within – God, that sounded cheesy, but true!

Then with the Benefit Porefessional I take some on my fingers and just apply it to the areas where I get oily. Mainly for me it on the side of the nose, pores next to my nose, centre of the forehead and the middle of the chin. Then when I do this and wait a few moments for it to settle into the skin it just allows the makeup to go onto the skin smoother and last so much longer.

I don’t want to make this post into something really long. I just wanted to let you know that I have been loving this combination recently, it has just made my makeup last so much longer and look better all day long.

As normal with all of my posts I will leave a link down below to where you can check them out in case you want to see more about them. Also, if you have any questions make sure you leave them below and I will get right back to you!

  1. Pairing them both up to get the right base for you is a great tip! I've tried the porefessional, but I use the maybelline baby skin which is supposed to be quite similar :) xx

    1. I haven't tried that Maybelline product before, I am going to have to try it out if it is similar!
