I have done a Q&A here on my blog before and people seemed to really like it at the time. So, I thought now that I am year on since my last one I would do another for you and answer some of the questions that I get asked a lot here on my blog and even by my friends and family.

I personally love reading Q&A’s from people, and getting to know more about the people who I spend so much of my time reading about. If you ever have any questions about me or my blog please feel free to leave them in the comments box below any of my posts or drop me an email and I will get back to you as soon as possible!

1)     Why do it?

I often get asked the question, mainly by my friends and family, why do I do it? They ask me this because they are the ones who see how much of my time it takes up. And to that I just say that I want to help people out if I can. I want to be able to give them some advice and either let people know about a product that is amazing or to let people avoid the same mistakes that I have made in the past.

2)     What’s in it for me?

For me I get the satisfaction of seeing a finished blog post, I guess that is what is in it for me. I never set out to make money on my blog, I just wanted to try and help people out before buying something. The money I have got from my blog is more than well received, but that isn’t what this is about for me. And vast majority of it just goes straight back into my blog, whether it be in new products or updating my blog and photography.

3)     Did I have any help in setting my blog up?

Nope! I did everything on my own. I didn’t really know what to do when I started, I just threw myself into it and fumbled around until I got to something that worked and looked somewhat acceptable. There are great help guides out there and I created my blog through Blogger and if I ever have an issue I just email Google and I usually get a response within 24 hours and they are really helpful and best of all, free!

4)     What do I do for a living?

I work in marketing and I am a marketing executive. I love working in marketing because it gives me something different to do more or less everyday. I am always to designing or taking photos and helping to manage the team that I work with. It isn’t something that I ever set out to do but it is something I am really passionate about, not to mention that working in marketing really helps me with my blog!

5)     What skin type do I have?

I have pretty combination skin. I normally just say I have oily skin because it is easier to do that then explain my skin type. I have pretty normal skin all over. Then around my nose I get very oily. Then on my chin and in the centre of my forehead I can get pretty dry, so finding a foundation can be quite hard for me, which is why I do so many reviews on foundations!

6)  How long do I see myself blogging for?

For me, blogging is something that I want to do long term. I enjoy it so much and as long as I enjoy doing it, I want to carry on with it. When the fun stops, that is when I’m going to stop. There is no point in doing something that your heart isn’t in. And I guess circumstances could change which means I don't have the time for it anymore.

7)  Will my blog always be about beauty and fashion?

At the minute, I can’t really answer that question. For the foreseeable future this is how my blog is going to stay, all about fashion and makeup because this is my passion at the minute. I know that no matter what they will be predominant on my blog. But, say I get engaged, get a house or have a baby I can imagine that my blog would change a bit to take into account my new situation, I guess I will just have to see what happens!

8)  How do I afford to spend so much on makeup?

I work bloody hard and that is the only answer to that question. I work my full-time job and when I’m not there I am working away on my blog. I do budget myself and I never spend over the amount that I set in my mind. I am a very good saver and always make sure that I have money in the bank above a certain point. I also never ever spend anything on my credit card!

9)  Do I make money through my blog?

Over the last year I have made money through my blog. For the first 6 months, I didn’t earn a penny through my blog. Then from there it gradually started to increase as the popularity of my blog increased. There are different ways to try and monetise your blog and over the past year I have been trying some of them out and most of them I have seen a return from.

10)  Does it take much of my time blogging?

I spend near enough all of my time blogging. When I am not at work I am blogging. I sit and write blog posts in my lunch hour. At night I am replying to comments and socialising with people. Then at a weekend I am taking all of my pictures, editing and queuing my posts for the week ahead. It is hell of a lot of work. Now I wouldn’t change it for the world but if somebody had told me before I started how much goes into it, I may have thought differently.

So, there you have some of my most asked questions. They are the questions that I get asked here on my blog, I get them emailed to me and even the questions that my own family and friends ask me. If you have a question that I haven't answered make sure to leave it down below and I will answer it in the comments!
