My 2017 New Years Resolutions

This post is all about my new year’s resolutions for 2017. It feels so strange writing 2017, I will only get used to it just as the year is finishing. I always like to set myself some new year’s resolutions, I am never very strict with them but they are just things that I would like to achieve, but if I don’t it isn’t the end of the world!

2016 for me was hard at times but overall it was a good year. I worked really hard in my full-time job and found out a few weeks ago that my hard work had paid off and I have gotten a promotion, which is really exciting. My blog is now also 1-year-old and I am so happy with the progress that I have made and I honestly love blogging so much, I cannot imagine me not doing it anymore.

From my recent posts, you may have seen that I got myself a little puppy dog just before Christmas. After having to have my pride and joy doggy to sleep back in August, I honestly felt broken. I still sit and uncontrollably sob about it now, people who haven’t had dogs before probably won’t understand but it just hurts to think about her and how quickly I lost her. So I knew that I needed another little bundle of fluff to help me a little. I am so excited and she is the most loving little thing and I can’t wait for everything we are going to do together!

I will stop rambling on now and just get into what my actual resolutions for 2017 are…

  1. Stop worrying about what irrelevant people think about you
  2. Take Sundays off – working full time means Sundays are my blogging days, but I need to have a break
  3. Just eat what you want, life is too short to count calories forever!
  4. Go out more with my other half for dates, I love our little old married couple live together but we need to go mad sometimes!
  5. Be more in the moment, put your phone down and enjoy conversation and just been with other people
  6. Get out of your comfort zone and venture further and see more of the UK
  7. Get the new car you’ve been dreaming off, stop thinking about it and just do it
  8. Go and have a little Italian adventure and see Rome and Florence again

So there you have my resolutions for 2017. Leave me a comment below and let me know what your resolutions are for 2017 and what you thought of this post!

I just want to finish by saying that I hope 2017 is kind to you all and just to leave all the problems of last year in 2016!

  1. Good luck with all of these, I hope you managed to accomplish them! I need to take Sunday off as well this year, preferably 'digital detox' Sunday.

    1. I would love to have a digital detox, but I can't help but reach for my phone. I feel bad if I'm sat doing nothing!
