Cover FX Custom Cover Drops Review

I have wanted to try out these Cover FX Custom Cover Drops for such a long time and I am so happy that I finally have my hands on them. I wanted to pick these up for one reason and that was to try and make my foundations a better match on my skin. I buy hell of a lot of foundation online and it can be hard to get the correct shade every single time. If I am in doubt, I will always go a shade lighter, but now I have quite a few shades in my collection which are too fair for me, especially when I have a tan. So, I wanted to get my hands on these Cover FX Custom Cover Drops not just to add coverage, but to help deepen the shade of my foundation and get a perfect match!

I did quite a lot of research on these before I went ahead and bought them because I wanted to make sure that what I was spending my money was actually going to work for me and work in a way that I want them too. I watched countless YouTube videos from the likes of Carli Bybel and Lauren Curtis who absolutely loved these, not to mention all of the blogs that I read before going ahead and buying these. After looking into these, they really did seem like the perfect product for me and I was very happy to finally get my hands on this. I think I bought mine through House of Fraser which has a great reward scheme here in the UK and I have never had anything but amazing customer service.

The first thing that I want to talk about with these Cover FX Custom Cover Drops before I really get into the post itself is the extensive colour range. Obviously at the moment, shade ranges are such a huge thing and brands seem to be trying harder to have an all-inclusive shade range to match all skin tones. Cover FX are such a great brand when it comes to catering for all skin colours. Plus, not only do they have shades ranging from incredibly light tones to very deep, they also so a range of different undertones so there really should be something to match everybody.

I bought the shade G80 in these Cover FX Custom Cover Drops, which is a golden/olive undertone, which goes perfectly with my natural skin tone. If I was to buy a Cover FX foundation I would be around a G60, so this is just two shades deeper, so I thought that it would be perfect for mixing into some of my lighter foundations to even out the tone of them and make them right for me. I think that these drops are just the perfect amount of colour to adjust my foundation without completely changing the undertone of my foundation or the formula of it.

For the past couple of months now, I have been mixing it into my foundation and I have to say that I bloody love it. Usually, I will pump out some of my foundation onto the back of my hand and then mix in one or two drops of this product and then I will dab it onto my face using my finger until it is nice and even. The best thing about this product is that no matter what other products I have tried to pair this with, it looks stunning each and every time. Every single time that I have used this, I think that it doesn’t nothing but add a subtle amount of coverage and help me rectify the shade.

These Cover FX Custom Cover Drops are essentially pure pigment, so with just the smallest amount and it will give you a full coverage look. I have seen people online using this product as an all over foundation and I cannot deny that their skin looks like porcelain and it is meant to be a close match coverage wise for the Marc Jacobs Remarcable Foundation, but with a much thinner and more workable consistency. I have even paired this with medium coverage foundations like the Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation and it makes the most incredible coverage and obviously you just add as many drops as this product as is required.

I feel like this is quite a hard product for me to review for you guys because of how niche it is and because of the fact that I don’t use it all over my face like a normal product. I guess the things to mention are that it gives incredible coverage, it doesn’t alter the texture or finish of your foundation, it lasts beautifully all day long and they can be used to lighten or deepen a foundation shade. I know for a fact that when the summer months come by and I have a natural tan that this is the product that I am going to be reaching for so that I don’t have to go out and buy a deeper foundation shade.

I will leave a link to this product down below in case any of you guys want to check it out for yourself. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know if you have tried these Cover FX Custom Cover Drops out and let me know what you thought about them. I know that a lot of people was inquisitive about this product, so I hope that this review helps to spread a little light on them and how they work.
