Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick in Chestnut Review

I am so glad that I finally went ahead and bought this Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick in the shade Chestnut. This foundation stick has been on my wish list to pick up for such a long time and I have been putting it off because I have always thought that there is something else that is newer and more exciting that I could get instead. But, it was something that was just niggling at me and I really wanted to get my hands on it and give it a go for myself. In the end, when I was putting in one of my huge House of Fraser hauls, I decided to just go ahead and treat myself to this Bobbi Brown product and I have to admit that I am loving it at the moment.

I wanted this in the shade Chestnut, because I wanted a new cream product to contour my face with. I had seen other people using this online as a contour and they seemed to love it, so I really wanted to give it a go for myself. With it being a stick product, it is so quick and easy to use because all you have to do is wind it up and off you go. I will then apply it around the parameters of my forehead, down the sides of my nose, underneath my cheekbones and along the jawline. Once all of the cream contour is in place, I will blend it in and we are good to go from there.

First up I want to mention the packaging of this product. As a whole, I love the look of this Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick. I think that it is so nice to look at because it looks lovely and high end. I know that packaging isn’t the be all and end all because it is the product inside what counts, but I love how this looks. It reflects the high-end price that you are paying for the product and that is all I am bothered about. Plus, with this being in a stick form, it is easy to use and no worry at all when you are travelling with it in your luggage because you know that it won't smash or break.

In this Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick you get 9g of product. Which may not seem a lot compared to a normal foundation where you get 30ml, but this is really highly pigmented product so a little goes a really long way when you are applying it. Plus, if you pick up this foundation stick in a contouring shade like I have, this will last you a very long time indeed because you will only be using a tiny amount of product each time you reach for it. Plus, it matches the amount that you get in other foundation sticks like the Hourglass Vanish Foundation Stick or the Makeup Forever HD Foundation Stick.

I find that the consistency of this Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick is really nice and creamy which helps it to glide on the skin directly from the stick really nice and smooth and it also helps when you are blending it out either with a brush or Beauty Blender. I tend to opt for a damp Beauty Blender when I am buffing this out and I feel that it does such a beautiful job. I have also tried this foundation stick on top of a whole array of foundations from different brands and with different finishes and it always looks stunning when it is blended out.

Because of how good this foundation stick has been for contouring the face with I am planning on getting my natural skin colour and a highlight shade so that I can do a full cream highlight and contouring routine using these products. I am thinking because of how beautiful and creamy this product is a full-face routine with these will be beautiful and I am so excited to finally get my hands on them. It really isn’t very often that I get really excited about a product, but I can confidently say that this is the best contouring product that I have used in a very long time.

If you have been looking for a new cream contouring product I would honestly say look no further than the Bobbi Brown Foundation stick, it is really creamy, blendable and it stays put all day when I set it with a powder. I will leave a link to this down below in case you want to check it out for yourself. Make sure to leave me a comment and let me know if you have tried this out or what some of your favourite products are for contouring with!
