Anastasia Brow Wiz Review

I cannot believe that I am only just getting around to trying the popular Anastasia Brow Wiz. This has been around for quite a while now and I feel like it really has gained cult classic status amongst makeup lovers like me. As much as I really wanted to try this out for myself, I didn’t know if it would work how I wanted it to for me. I have quite thick and bushy eyebrows which are pretty dense, so I need something with a high level of pigment and colour pay off in order for it to show up in amongst my brows. Other than that, I am just a little stuck in my ways when it comes to brow products, but I decided that it was time to try out something new and this Anastasia Brow Wiz was at the top of the list.

I bought this from Beauty Bay and I think it set me back around £20, which for a high-end brow product is pretty reasonable. From face value, I would say that this product does look pretty cheap, especially when you pair it with something like the Hourglass Arch Brow Pencil, which is a similar price, but it looks much more luxurious. It is a double ended product, on one side you have the product and the other end you have a spooly for combing through the brow hairs. I do want to say about this packaging that after a couple of months, it did actually snap and even though I tried to glue it, it wouldn’t go back together. I hadn’t been travelling with it either, that is from just grabbing it from my makeup draw on a daily basis.

The shade that I have in this Anastasia Brow Wiz is Chocolate which is the same shade that I have in the Anastasia Brow Pomade, which means that they go together perfectly, and it matches my natural hair colour really well. I was tempted to get a shade lighter in order to get a natural kind of gradient to my brows, but I thought that I would just stick to what I know, and I am very glad that I did because I love this and the shade of it. Plus, depending on how much pressure you apply, you can get lighter and darker areas throughout the brows, which is exactly what I like.

I like to use this Anastasia Brow Wiz to get a very natural looking brow. I will firstly use it to roughly map out the shape of my brows and then I will use small stoke like motions in order to get the appearance of natural brow hairs. I think that this is why I love this product so much because it really does allow you to get a full but natural looking brow. Then, by applying different levels of pressure, you can get different shades and tones running through your brow hairs in order to get them to look nice and natural. Plus, if you pair this with the Anastasia Clear Brow Gel, you can go for the whole soap brow tend which is going mad at the moment!

My only negative about this product is that the product itself is quite hard. In order to get a deep level of pigmentation, you do have to press on quite hard. Even if you are swatching this on the back of your hand and not through the brow hairs, you still have to apply this with quite a heavy hand to get a true to colour swatch. It isn’t a big issue, but I thought it was just something that was worth mentioning while I write this review for you guys.

I have found myself reaching for this every single day and above the other brow products that I have in my collection. I love how this applies, it looks lovely and natural through the brows, it is easy to work with and it is a very reasonable price. The cheap and flimsy plastic packaging is a bit of a fail in my opinion, but nothing that would stop me from using this. I will leave a link to this down below in case you want to try it out for yourself. Make sure to leave me a comment and let me know if you have tried this product and what you thought about it!
