Real Techniques Setting Brush Review

I feel like at the moment, I am on a little spending spree when it comes to brushes and I have to admit that I am bloody loving it. I have stuck with the same brushes for so many years and even though most of them are going strong, I feel like most of them were well overdue an upgrade and that is why I have finally got my hands on this little bad boy. I have had my eye on this Real Techniques Setting Brush for such a long time and I am so happy to have finally bought this. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and I feel like I am finally ready to bring you guys my review.

I am sure that I have mentioned it before here on my blog, but I have an oily complexion, which means that I have to set my liquid and cream base products every single day that I apply makeup. If I don’t set my creams and liquids into place, throughout the day, I can end up looking shiny, especially in the area around my nose. Over the years, I have tried so many different powders and brushes, and this Real Techniques Setting Brush I have found is the perfect brush for buffing and setting the area around my eyes, nose and any other small areas that my larger brushes struggle to get into.

I think the main thing that I love about this Real Techniques Setting Brush is that shape of the brush. I would say that the head of the brush is no larger than a 50p, and the bristles are tapered which makes it ideal for getting into the area around the eyes. I think that the brush as a whole is just the perfect size, it is neither too big or too small and it does the job like an absolute dream. Since I started using this brush to set my under eye and other small areas, I haven’t thought twice about picking up another brush because this one does the job absolutely perfectly.

I think that the bristles on this brush are lovely and smooth and that makes it perfect for using in delicate areas.  I could honestly sit and play with this brush between my fingers all day long because of how lovely and silky soft it is. I find that this brush is made to such a stunning and high quality and because of that, I find myself reaching for this for so much more than just setting my undereye. I will grab this to apply highlighter with, to contour the face and I even keep one in my handbags for touching up throughout the day when my natural oils get a little out of control.

Since I first bought this brush, I have used it pretty much everyday in my normal makeup routine and I love how it performs. It is really well made, and I have never noticed any of the bristles shedding. Plus, whenever I wash and dry this brush, I feel like it goes back to being like new again afterwards and that is what I love about it. I know that I have said countless times in this blog post that the quality of this brush is second to none and it matches the quality of some of my higher quality brushes like my Tom Ford and Charlotte Tilbury babies.

There really isn’t much more that I can say about this Real Techniques Setting Brush, because it is quite a simple item. I love the shape of the bristles, how it applies product, how soft it is and the incredible quality. I know that I have never made a secret about how much I love Real Techniques Brushes here on my blog, but I feel like this is another absolute winner and I know that it is going to be a go to brush of mine for a very long time indeed. I will leave a link to this down below in case you want to check it out for yourself. Make sure to leave me a comment below and let me know if you have tried this brush out and what some of your favourite makeup brushes are!
