Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick - Lolita

The other month when I was placing my first Sephora order, I knew that I had to try out this Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in the shade Lolita. I am sure that this lipstick and this shade in particular doesn’t need any introduction because it is a favourite of all bloggers and YouTubers all over the world, but it is a pain in the arse to get here in the UK and that is the only reason that I haven’t tried this out sooner. I have been asked so many times if I had tried this out and what my thoughts on it were, so I thought that it was about time that I finally just went for it and decided to try it out for myself.

Since I bought this lipstick, I have been wearing it more or less every single day and I think that it really is the most stunning shade. I have been on the hunt for such a long time for a perfect neutral shade and I feel like I have finally found it with this Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick. This is just the most perfect shade of mauve for my lips. Naturally I have quite dark lips and finding a lipstick that looks natural on me is quite difficult. Nudes tend to be too light and anything deeper is too brown or too red, so this one just hits the nail on the head and suits my natural colouring perfectly.

This is just the correct level of everything for me personally. As it is a liquid lipstick it does dry matte on the lips and for some people I know that these are too drying, but for me it is just perfection and the right amount of matte.  Before I put this shade Lolita on my lips, I like to apply a thick balm or a masque just to ensure that they don’t flake or crack throughout the day. From other posts you may know that I do suffer from chapped lips really badly and it is painful, so I have to be careful with what I put on them, but I find that by doing this, I get a really smooth application and it stays on my lips lovely all-day long.

I also want to touch on the level of pigmentation in this liquid lipstick. After trying hell of a lot of different liquid lipsticks over the years including different shades and brands, I can quite confidently say that this is my favourite. From one dip into the tube, I can apply my entire lipstick without having to go back in for more and I get such a smooth and flawless application. With other liquid lipsticks that don’t have the same level of pigmentation, they can go quite streaky and patchy on the slips, but this is just wonderful and that is one of the main reasons why I reach for this so often.

When I apply this Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in the shade Lolita, it wears beautifully all day long. I can put this on in a morning at 8am and at 8pm, it still looks good. Don’t get me wrong, there will be signs of wear throughout the day, but you know that when you wear this product you are safe when it comes to eating, drinking and transferring.  The thing that I really admire about this lip product is that as it gradually wears off throughout the day, it does so evenly, which means that it never looks crazy and it will reapply nice and smoothly.

There really isn’t much more that I can say about this lip product other than the fact that I really love using it and it has become a firm favourite in my makeup collection. I think that it may even be fair to say that this is my most used lip product by a country mile. I will leave a link to this down below in case you want to check it out for yourself. Also, make sure to leave me a comment and let me know if you have tried this and what you thought about it!
