October Favourites

I cannot believe that we are in November already, this year has flown by at a crazy rate. More importantly I can’t believe that I have been doing my blog for over a year. It is mad to think that this time last year I was just setting my URL up and trying to get some posts together. I honestly love it so much!

Anyway, I will get into my favourites before I start rambling too much. I haven’t been buying much through October so I have been rediscovering old things and had time to get around to trying things that I have been sent or that I have bought.

1)     Makeup Forever Step 1 Primer

I have never been bothered about primers before. I have never had an issue with my makeup staying on so I just didn’t think that I needed one. Then I got this primer and tried it out and I am hooked. I have mentioned quite often on my blog that I have combination skin but around my nose I can get quite oily. I apply just a pea sized amount of this around my nose and it controls my oils perfectly!

2)     Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Perfume

I love changing my scents up throughout the year. People know me for always wearing Chanel No5, and I do still wear that in the winter but I like to mix it up with my Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir. This is just a deep and musky tone. It smells like red berries and just how I image winter to smell. I love putting on some chunky knitwear and dousing myself in this!

3)     Marc Jacobs Remarcable Foundation

This foundation needs no introduction here on my blog. I have spoken about it so many times that I bet you are sick of hearing about it. It is full coverage, easy to blend, gives a flawless finish and most importantly to me it keeps me matte and my foundation does not budge. I do understand that this foundation is expensive but it is worth every single penny, it is out of this world and if you like full coverage foundations, this is the perfect foundation for you!

4)     Urban Decay Naked Weightless Concealer

This concealer for me has been a game changer. I used to think that nothing could ever replace my MAC Full Coverage Cream Foundation for highlighting and concealing under the eyes but this concealer has changed everything. It is out of this world. A little goes a long way with this, it is super creamy and blendable. High levels of pigmentation and it covers absolutely everything!

5)     Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick

This foundation stick is just so perfect. I cream contour near enough every day, but I can get a little heavy handed with it when I apply it just with a brush. This foundation just makes it so easy. I use the edge of the foundation stick and apply it down my cheekbones, under the jaw and the parameters of the forehead. It applies just a nice and light amount and keeps it to a precise area.

6)     Chanel Cream Bronzer

I love cream contouring. I have done for such a long time, but sometimes the products even though the colour is incredible it can be hard to blend out, this is where this comes into play for me. I cannot use this as a cream bronzer because it is too light and is a match for my skin tone. But I like to apply my cream contour and put it on the areas I want it, then using this Chanel Cream Bronzer on a synthetic brush I blend it all out until it is seamless. This product just makes blending so easy.

7)     Maybelline Mascara

I have seen this mascara all over the internet for such a long time, it is all over blogs which I guess is down to the stunning packaging, it looks great in flat lay images. Anyway, I have been loving this mascara. The wand is great because it combs through your lashes. It coats all the lashes evenly with the curved wand and just gives so much lift and curl, this has completely replaced my Maybelline Colossal Mascara.

8)     Anastasia Brow Gel & Anastasia Brow Wiz

This is a combo that I have been loving recently for my brows. I love the whole soap brows trend but I hate the smell of soap, so I do it with my brow gels. On my clean brows, I will take my Anastasia Brow Gel and stick all the brow hairs up. Then taking my Anastasia Brow Wiz I will go in and fill in any sparse areas. The two together just give a very natural and fluffy looking eyebrow.

9)     Charlotte Tilbury Super Cindy

I have mentioned this before but I am hooked on it. I didn’t want to use it when I first got it because of how pretty it looked but as soon as I did I was obsessed. Anything remotely linked to Cindy Crawford has my name all over because she is just a queen. But this colour is a perfect nude for a deeper skin tone. It was a little pinker than I expected but it is still a lovely shade.

10)  Root Boost Powder

My hair when it is clean washed can be pathetic. It is just so flat and I must put up a fight to get volume. This stuff has changed everything. When I have clean hair, I will sit and blow dry it. Then when it is dry I will do through and sprinkle some of this powder at my roots. Then I get my fingers right into my scalp and rub it all in, it gives me so much life and volume.

There you have my October favourites. I hope that you enjoyed this post. If you are interested in trying anything out that I mentioned, I will leave links at the side of all the products and where you can find them.

Also, make sure to leave me a comment below and let me know what you have been loving through October!
