My 5 Winter Makeup Must Haves

When the weather changes, I like to change up my makeup along with it. As you may know I have combination to oily skin. My skin is generally a normal but the area around my nose can get quite oily, so I must powder and blot throughout the day generally.

So, in the summer I do everything I can do to stay matte and make sure that my makeup lasts the whole day long. In the winter, I try and make sure that my skin stays hydrated and still looks healthy throughout the colder months. In this post, I am going to let you know the 5 products that I use without fail through the colder months…

1)      Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

Even though I have an oily nose, the rest of my skin in the winter time is normal to dry. So, I like a foundation that brightens up my skin and makes me look healthy. The Giorgio Armani foundation is ideal for this. It has good coverage, nothing too crazy but it can easily be built up. Even when this powder is completely set with powder it is still nice and hydrating!

2)      Urban Decay Naked Weightless Concealer

Even though I have oily skin the area under my eyes is either normal or can get dry. So, this concealer is amazing for making it nice and hydrated. This is a super creamy concealer so it is easy to blend so you don’t have to push and pull the area under your eyes. It also keeps the area looking smooth and airbrushed.

3)      Chanel Cream Bronzer

In the winter when I am a touch paler I live by this bronzer. It is just the right amount of bronze and glow for the winter. It just makes you look like you have been in the sun for a while rather than a harsh contour or a powder bronzer.

4)      Nivea Lip Balm

I suffer all year long with chapped lips. It is something that I got from my dad so obviously in the winter it tends to get even worse. This Nivea lip balm is amazing. When I remember to religiously apply it my lips are fine. If I miss putting it on one morning my lips will chap and split. I keep these scattered all over, in my bag, on my desk and in my car!

5)      Soap & Glory Hand Food

I get such dry hands in the winter so this stuff keeps me going. I buy this religiously and ask people to always get it me on Christmases and birthdays. It has such a nice scent to it and it isn’t overpowering. It also soaks into your hands quickly and it doesn’t leave a greasy texture which is a major pet peeve of mine!

So, there you have the 5 products that I swear by in colder and harsher months. If you want to check some of the products out that I have mentioned there are links at the side of the name. Be sure to leave me a comment below and let me know what products you swear by when the temperature drops!
