Seventeen High Drama Eyeliner Review

I have been using this Seventeen High Drama Liquid Eyeliner for the longest time, it must be at least well over 5 years since I first started using this product. I can remember one day after school, I went straight around to my nans for my dinner and she said that she was sick to death of my wearing lots of black kohl liner, and she told me that I had to buy a liquid liner. The very next day she dragged my ass down to the local Boots store and she bought me this Seventeen High Drama Liquid Liner and I have been wearing it ever since.

I can remember when we got back to her house, we both sat in front of a mirror and she taught me how to apply my liquid eyeliner. My nan is such an immaculately turned out women who always looks pristine and she taught me very well. From that day, my nan got exactly what she wanted, and I haven’t touched another kohl liner since. Since I first tried out this liquid liner I have tried some others over the years, but I always go back to this because it is just a step above everything else and I have even tried brands like Chanel and LancĂ´me.

I wish I could turn and say that I mastered the art of liquid liner the first time I applied it, but that would be a big fat lie. It looked horrendous for I would say the first few months. My wings were wonky, and the thickness would vary on each eye. It has definitely been a labour of love. Even now I still have days where my eyeliner just looks like a joke. Thanks to good old nan, the odd YouTube video and hell of a lot of perseverance, I am finally at a point where I could put my liner on in the back of a car and it look somewhat decent.
There are a couple things about this liner that make me love it so much and I wanted to share them with you in this post. One of the best things about this in my opinion is the applicator itself. I have seen many liquid liners with small brush tips, but this is a small sponge tip. The good thing about this is because it is a sponge tip, no matter how much you use it, it doesn’t misplace, and it makes it easy to lay on your lid to create your wing or even a precise line. Also, I feel with the sponge tip, it is nice and easy to get an even amount of product on it so you never go in a little too heavy.

Another great positive about this Seventeen High Drama Liner is that it is absolutely jet black. Some other liners that I have tried tend to apply really beautifully and look really dark on my lash line. Then as they dry down a little, they seem to go a little lighter to a deep grey rather than a black. With this one, I can pop it on at 7am in a morning and I know that 12 hours later it is still going to look just as good and it won’t have faded one little bit.

This liquid eyeliner doesn’t claim to be waterproof, but through all of the years of wearing it, it has never failed me. I have cried wearing this and even been caught in some horrible down pours as I would walk home from school and it always looks perfect. It doesn’t smudge or run and it just stays in place all day long. This has even performed better in rain than some of the other and much more expensive liquid liners that I have tried which is great for a drugstore product.

I am pretty sure that this liquid eyeliner is only around £3.99 and I think it is just sheer perfection. It does everything that I want from my liquid eyeliner and I love how it looks. I think that this is a massively underrated makeup item and I think that more people need to try it out for themselves because it is a great drugstore product. I will leave a link to this down below in case you want to check it out for yourself. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know if you have tried out this eyeliner and what you thought about it!
