Foxy Locks Hair Extensions Review

I am sure that if you asked anybody that I know, they would all say that I am completely crazy about my hair. Not long ago was quite honestly the happiest day of my life because a little girl stopped me in the street and told me that I have hair like a brunette Rapunzel. I don’t think that the grin left my face for around a week after that happened. I think it, who knew that the best kind of compliment could have come from a little 6-year-old girl as I was walking home from work. I am pretty sure that I have told every single person that I know that story, I may even take out a slot in the local paper and announce what happened just because I am that happy about it!

I have always had incredibly long hair and that is just because it grows like wildfire. So many times, throughout my life I have had all of my hair chopped off to my shoulders and within a couple of months it will have grown another 6 inches. I don’t really know what it is, but my hair and nails just seem to grow like absolute crazy. But it wasn’t until one summer that I really became obsessed with wearing hair extensions and I haven’t stopped wearing them ever since.

I can remember that it was the summer holidays from school and I was around 15 at the time. The band ‘The Saturdays’ had just gotten really popular and I had a girl crush on Frankie Sandford. She had the most stunning pixie crop hair style and I thought it was so stunning and I was desperate to have my hair cut like it. At the time, my hair was down to my bum so it was such a big choice. My mum and dad tried to talk me out of it, but I just went for it one day and I have to admit that I loved it. For a while, I rocked my short hair and I think it looked nice. It wasn’t until it started to finally grow out and it was such an awkward length that I knew I had to buy some hair extensions.

I have worn hair extensions pretty much every since day since I first worn them. since. It is now 6 years on and I have tried so many different, brands, types and lengths of bonded and clip in hair extensions. Even though that now my hair is back to being really long, it is very thin and fine. My hairdresser always says that I have hell of a lot of hair on my head, it is just very thin, which makes it near on impossible to style and make it look somewhat pretty and that is why I still opt for my clip in hair extensions.

I had never heard of this brand before and then I saw Casey Holmes mention them on YouTube and I had to try them out for myself. I am sure that over the next couple of months you will realise that whatever Casey normally uses, I tend to go out and buy. Plus, she had a coupon code that got you a free pair of eyelashes at checkout which completely sold me. Isn’t it funny how a £3 pair of false eyelashes completely tempted me into buying these £300 hair extensions.

Anyway, I loved these hair extensions from the very first moment that I received them. I had to buy two packets of hair extensions to get these to blend in naturally with my hair. Because my hair is naturally quite curly, I have to make sure that things blend in and flow properly.  I bought the 24” inch hair extensions and each of the sets of hair extensions are 280g of hair. I think to make it look natural I had to use around 1 and a half packets of hair and it looked incredibly lovely.

What I love about these hair extensions is that they are such high quality. I have been wearing the same set of extensions now for near on a year and they are still going strong. I will wear these pretty much every single day and they always look as good as the first day that I got them out of the packet. They wash like a dream and always bounce back to a really high quality. Even though the extensions are super silky, I find that they are easy to style, and they hold a curl really well. Not to mention that they give me a really serious boost to my confidence whenever I wear them.

Another thing about these Foxy Locks hair extensions that I really love is how comfortable they are to wear. The band at the top of the weft is incredibly comfortable and I can wear them all day long and completely forget that I have a full head of hair extensions. Plus, they come with the clips already on which is a massive bonus for me because I have spent so much time over the years sewing clips onto hair extensions only for them to fall off and end up looking a bugger!

Since I first tried out these Foxy Locks hair extensions I haven’t even looked at trying another other brand out. They look incredibly natural, wash like a dream and style beautifully, there isn’t much more that I really want from a set of hair extensions. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know if you have tried these and what you thought of them. If not, let me know what some of your favourite hair extension brands are and I will be sure to check them out for myself!

  1. Really love this review and the dark brown looks gorgeous! I have the same problem, 280g of 24" would not be enough for me, especially because the luxurious set has only 6 pieces that's not enough to layer through my hair, I usually wear about 400g of hair. These look great on you though and they look so thick. I had foxy locks before, about 2 years ago, mine went dry quite quickly and didn't look this healthy, I think it might be because they were the platinum blonde colour so already heavily processed. You've definitely inspired me to look up foxy locks again in the future though, now I have darker hair.

    1. Hi Dani,

Thanks for replying. I love these and I am planning on buying some more which I think just shows how much I love them! :)
