My November Favourites

Even though we are on the run up to Christmas, I still wanted to do my usual favourites post. I have done one of every single month since I started my blog, so December is going to be no different. In this post, there is a lot of new products, and some that just work really well with my skin at this time of the year when I am hell of a lot dryer and just feeling a little drab.
I can see these things been my staples right through the whole month because I have really been loving using them and how they make me look and feel. I will admit right here that most of them are high end, but I wouldn’t include them in this post if I didn’t genuinely think that they were worth the money that I paid for them.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy my last favourites post of 2017 and without any more rambling, I will jump into the post…

At the minute, I have been loving trying out high end mascaras. I have always stayed away from them really because I couldn’t understand how they could really differ from high street products, at the end of the day they make your lashes long, thick and black, surely, they all do the same. After trying the YSL Shocking Mascara I realised that I was very wrong about pricey mascaras. Since that, I bought this one, purely for the Beauty and the Beast vibes, but I am obsessed with it. Not only is it the most beautiful mascara that I have ever used, but it is such good quality product. I knew that with it being Lancôme that it would be good quality, I just didn’t know how much I would love it!

My awkward ass combination skin is obsessed with this Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. I apply this morning, noon and night and my skin just seems to really drink it in. This is an expensive ass cream so I am bloody glad that it agrees with my skin. I have never used a moisturiser quite as good as this one is. It makes my skin feel so nice and soft and it really helps to fill in my pores and even my complexion. Charlotte Tilbury always talks really articulately about this about all of the different ingredients that it has in it, but for me this is just a great moisturiser that makes the skin feel really nice and smooth.

For the winter months, I love a deep smelling perfume. I know that fragrances like these you either love them or hate them, but I adore this fragrance. I love to wear this when it is really bitterly cold outside. I like to spray this right onto a big scarf so that the smell lasts all day long and when I get cold I can cosy right into it and I get a good smell of my Chanel. I think this is one of them fragrances that you really do need to go and sample before you commit to buying the whole bottle. Personally, I love it and I can’t seem to put it down at the minute, it reminds me very much of the Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir, and I think everybody knows how much I love that perfume!

I always like to powder my face because I have very combination skin and around my nose I can look very oily, so I need to set my liquids and creams with powder. For years, I have used my Laura Mercier or the RCMA No Colour Powder to set the face into place and I do love them, but when it gets to this time of year they can make me a little too matte. I have combination skin, so I do have dry patches, so a very mattifying powder makes my skin look pretty unhealthy, when it is even more dehydrated because of the weather. So, I have been taking a really big fluffy brush and giving it a good swirl in the powder and then just doing a light dusting down the face. It is enough to set it in place, keep my oil under control, without been overly matte.

I feel like I have still been on the hunt for the perfect bronzer and I feel like I’m getting close with this Nars Laguna Bronzer. When I use a bronzer, I need it to look really smooth and soft on the skin, I hate it when ones look choppy, so to me they need to be creamy and buttery to get a really smooth application. And that is what this bronzer is to me. I love to use this bronzer with my huge Tom Ford Bronzer Brush. I just swirl the brush right into the powder and then I apply it on my forehead and down my cheekbones. I have never used a bronzer before that is as smooth as this powder is, I am obsessed with it and I can see myself using it until I hit the pan!

I love a good deep lip for this time of year but I am kind of over a red lip. I feel like I have been there and done a red lip thousands of times so it is time to mix it up a little bit. So, this winter it is all about the browns for me. My favourite one at the moment has been this Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in the shade Birkin Brown. And, the fact this lipstick mentions Birkin makes me love it even more. I have always loved brown lipsticks, especially Stone by MAC, but this is a much warmer shade of brown and it honestly just look so stunning. I think this is a perfect winter colour because it is a nice warm shade!

This has been mentioned in so many of my favourites posts since I bought this at the beginning of the year. I have always been a fan of the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, so when they came out with one that promised to be soft and matte I knew that I needed to give it a go. I loved it straight away. For the under-eye area, this smooths everything out, hides all pores and imperfections and looks so flawless. I initially bought this in a highlighting shade for the under eyes, then when I realised just how much I loved it and I went and bought one that matched my natural skin colour as well as one to contour. This has taken the crown as my new favourite concealer and I don’t think that will be changing any time soon!

I know this isn’t the first time I have mentioned this foundation here on my blog, so I won’t make this super long. At this time of year, the looks that I like to go for are very perfected skin, with a classic eye and a bold lip, so this foundation is amazing for achieving that kind of look. This stuff is really pigmented and makes the skin look super flawless. It completely evens my skin our and covers everything and I have a lot on my skin that I like to cover. I am a lover of a full coverage foundation and this is right at the top of my list at the moment. It isn’t quite as full coverage as the Marc Jacobs Remarcable Foundation, but it is close and hell of a lot more comfortable on the skin.

I never really mention eyeshadows here on my blog because to be honest there are things that I prefer hell of a lot over eyeshadows. To me, eyeshadows are just something that I need to have but I don’t necessarily like doing it or using them, which is why I don’t ever jump on the latest trends of eyeshadow palettes. Over the years, I have painstakingly made this MAC palette and I love it. Every shade in there I have chosen myself and I like them all and they are all really wearable. I can create so many different looks with these shadows, plus with the matte brown shades I can fill in my brows so they are really versatile and great for travelling with.

MAC Full Coverage Foundation
I have been using this foundation for years now and I think that it is massively underrated. I have only seen two other people talk about this foundation and that is Patrick Star and Wayne Goss. This is a cream formula, that is super full coverage, really blendable and it just sits incredible on the skin. This covers everything on my face with one light layer. I like to apply this using my Beauty Blender to get a really light finish to the skin. If you like crème foundations and you haven’t tried this one out I really don’t think that you can find something on the market for better where you get half as much product for the price.
There you have it. My final favourites of 2017. In the new year, I will be doing a full post rounding up all of the products that I have tried in 2017 and letting you know what has been my favourites of the year. As normal, I will leave links down below to everything that I have mention in case you want to check them out. I will also link all of the names above to my full reviews of all the products for more information on them.
Leave me a product down below and let me know what you have been loving this past month and I will check them out!
