New Makeup Purchases

Over the past week, I have been on the mother of all spending sprees. Since June time, I have been trying to put myself on a little spending ban. With the new car, some big purchases at the start of this year and trying to save for a house, I have been trying to rein it in a little bit. But hell, of a lot of shit has been happening these past couple of weeks and I just really needed to treat myself to some nice new things. It didn’t do very much to make me happier, but it temporarily put a smile on my face and that is what I needed.

So, I thought that I would share with you just some of the makeup things that I bought. In another post, I might show you some of the clothes, handbags and shoes that I bought, but that is definitely something for another time because this post would probably end up 20 pages long and I am sure that would bore you all to tears. So anyway, without further rambling on, here are some of my latest beauty purchases…

This should come as no surprise to most people that I have bought yet another bronzer, but I didn’t just buy one bronzer, I bought two. I have wanted this bronzer for such a long time, I think I saw Casey Holmes on YouTube using it and it looked so pretty on her skin, and I have similar colouring as her, so I instantly added it to my wish list. You get two tones to this bronzer and lighter and a darker, but I have just been swirling these together and it creates the prettiest look. It does have some shimmer running through it, which I actually like because it isn’t overpowering and it just brings extra dimension into the face, rather than looking flat with all matte products. So excited to use this more!

2)       Tom Ford Bronzer Brush
I know that this is a silly purchase because it is £80 for a brush, but I just needed it. I have seen this brush so much online, in blogs and YouTube videos and it just looks so pretty. Not only that but it just seems to apply bronzer so nice and smoothly. When I first got this I actually couldn’t believe that I would spend nearly £100 on a makeup brush and I hope to god that my mum or boyfriend aren’t reading that or I am pretty sure that they would murder me, but I love this bloody brush. With this, I honestly think that you get what you pay for, I paid high and I got really high quality for my money. I am going to be doing a full review on this very soon so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for that one!

I wanted this mascara just because of the rose in the end of the wand. I have always admired how stunning this is and I just thought why the hell not. Lancôme mascaras are world famous for a reason and that is because the quality of them is second to none, so I knew that I would be paying for a really good quality product. I find that this mascara really fans out my lashes and really lifts them, it has been so far so good, but I still have to put it through its paces. I wonder how it will cope when it is warm, with this not being a waterproof mascara, I always dread it smudging under my eyes because that to me will make me toss this aside and never use it again, but we shall see…

4)       Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette
I am sure that by now every single person out there has this palette, I know that I am late onto this bandwagon, but it is still such a stunning palette. I lusted after this Anastasia Eyeshadow Palette for such a long time but I just couldn’t justify buying it because I have my MAC Palettes, but I just wanted to try something else. I have pretty much exhausted every single look that I can get out of my MAC Palette and I just wanted something new and shiny to play with for a while. I don’t think anybody can deny that the shades in this palette are to die for and I can imagine that I am going to be getting so much use out of it when it comes to the cooler months for some really nice smokey eyes!

5)       Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Finish Powder
I have been on the hunt for a good face powder for quite a while now. I have my Laura Mercier and RCMA translucent setting powders, but I just wanted something else that photographs a little better with my sister’s wedding coming up and knowing that I am going to have my photograph taken near on a million times. I want a powder that can guarantee no flashback and that is what I have heard about this face powder. From just the odd time that I have used this powder it feels super silky on the skin, it is so finely milled that to me it resembles the Makeup Forever HD Powder, I cannot wait to try this more and see if it can control my oils.

6)       Nars Laguna Bronzer
I have always wanted to try the Nars Laguna Bronzer. I feel like this bronzer has always been out and for as long as I have been watching beauty YouTube tutorials, I have wanted to try out this Nars Laguna Bronzer. I think that products only become cult classic products like this one is if the quality of them is amazing, so I cannot wait to finally dig into this and start using it. I am the biggest bronzer fan and I have so many in my already quite vast collection and just by using this the odd time and swatching it like crazy, I can tell that I am going to love using this!
I didn’t want to mention everything that I bought and turn this into War and Peace, but these are just some of the things that I am really looking forward to trying over the next couple of weeks. I will make sure that full reviews of everything go live in no time at all so make sure to keep an eye out for them. I will link to everything that I have mentioned down below in case you want to check anything out. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know if you have tried any of these things out and what products you are loving at the moment!
