My Most Used Lipsticks

I have countless lipsticks in my makeup collection, but in reality, I wear very few of them. I think it is just because I am pretty lazy and the first thing in the morning when I am getting ready for work, I don’t have the time to trawl through all of my lipsticks to swatch them and try and get the right shade that I want to wear that day. So, I normally just stick to what I know is going to look nice, last a long time and be nice and comfortable on my lips. I will say right now though, that none of the products that I am going to mention in this blog post are drugstore!
These are just the lipsticks that I use on a nearly everyday basis. I will admit right now that the shades are quite similar. My boyfriend always laughs at me because I will ask him if he likes my lipstick, and he just gives me a blank expression because to him, it looks no different than what I was wearing the previous day. I am sure that I am not the only girl out there that has hundreds of shades of nudes and neutrals, and they are all ever so slightly different. Anyway, here are my 5 most used lipsticks…
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk
I was a huge fan of the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk, so when she released a lipstick in the same shade I knew that I had to buy it. I bought it on the first day that it was released and I loved it straight away. Before it went on sale, I tried to talk myself out of buying it by saying that I didn’t need another shade that was a similar shade to so many that I already have. But, I think it was on sale around 10 minutes before I jumped on the website and bought one. What I love the most about this lipstick is that it is lovely and moisturising for a matte lipstick. It doesn’t dry my lips out too much and it lasts all day long.

Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Bitch Perfect
I heard about this lipstick all over the internet and I knew that I had to have it. I think the thing that sold me on it completely was the sassy name of it. I love anything that has a little bit of sass to it. I saw Wayne Goss talk about this and he said that it was a great neutral tone for people who have a tanned complexion, so I knew that I had to pick it up. The K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks are more of a moisturising finish. Even though it isn’t a matte lipstick, it is lovely and longwearing on the lips. This Bitch Perfect lipstick, I find it is more or less exact match for my natural lip colour so it is really stunning for an everyday lipstick.
Tom Ford Lip Colour in India Rose
I know that this a boujee ass lipstick, but I just had to try them out. Just after my dog passed away last year, I needed to splash some cash and get some retail therapy, so I decided that it was time to dig deep into my pocket and finally buy a Tom Ford Lipstick. When I finished checking out for this lipstick, it finally hit me that I had spent £40 on a lipstick and I could have kicked myself about it. It wasn’t until I actually got the lipstick and started trying it that I realised that it is worth every single penny. It is a stunning colour, glides on like butter, lasts all day long and looks to die for. Go give them a swatch in store and you will realise exactly what I mean!
MAC Lipstick in Whirl
The other year when the whole world went a little crazy and wanted to buy it, I couldn’t get my hands on it. It was sold out everywhere, in every single MAC store, retailers and even online. People were selling these on eBay for around £50. For people that actually went ahead and bought them, I think you're bat shit crazy. But, I had a riffle through my drawers and I found the one that I have had for years and I fell in love with it all over again. It is a lovely and deep mauve shade and it is just so pretty. There is a reason that this is such an iconic lipstick and has been a bestseller for MAC year in and year out.
MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy
I might not really rate the Kardashian/Jenner clan very highly, but I would like to thank Kylie for making me buy this lipstick. I normally just think that whatever they use is just a fad and I’m not all that bothered, but there was no denying how stunning this lipstick looked whenever she used it. I got my hands on it and I wore this for 6 months pretty much every single day. This is a near on exact match for my natural lip colour. My favourite way to wear this lipstick is to go in with a good lip liner, either the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk or MAC Spice and then fill the lips in using this and it looks to die for. MAC matte lipsticks are really pretty, but can be quite drying. I just top it with a lip balm and I am good to go!
So, there you have it. My favourite lipsticks, out of my whole collection. I will leave a link down below to everything that I have mentioned in case you want to check them out.
