Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Finish Powder Review

I have been on the hunt for a new powder compact for some time now. If you have followed my blog for some time, you may know that I have been using the Chanel Vitalumiere Powder Compact for a couple years now, and even though it has been a good powder, I was well overdue an upgrade. I have really noticed over the past couple of months that my skin has been changing and my complexion is pretty oily, so I am in need of a new powder to help control the shine throughout the day, and I thought that it was about time I gave the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Finish Powder a try after looking at it online for years!
I really wanted to try this powder out because over the past couple of years I have tried out so many Charlotte Tilbury products and they have all been incredible, so I was really keen to try this one out. I didn’t buy this powder to set all of my face with, because for that I use the RCMA No Colour Powder or the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, the main reason why I wanted to try this powder out was so that I could keep the compact in my handbag and blot my face throughout the day.

The first thing that I want to mention that I think is so important is the packaging. When I am paying a lot for a high-end product, I want it to have nice packaging. I know that packaging doesn’t really matter as long as the product inside is nice and works well, but I want something that looks nice when I pull it out of my handbag. Like all of the Charlotte Tilbury products this has a stunning vintage look to it. It just looks so elegant and it is really obvious that a huge amount of effort was made with the packaging.
Now, onto the actual powder itself. I have never tried a face powder that feels quite as silky as this one does. It glides onto the skin so nice and smoothly and really helps to blur the skin, it really does as the name suggests, it makes the skin look airbrushed. Throughout the day because of my oily skin, I can often get foundations breaking up around my nose, and no matter how much powder I apply, nothing seems to help. But, this powder just seems to glide over the area that I need mattifying and it seems to help disguise my imperfections.

I got this in shade 2 which is Medium. I would say that this is a little light for my olive skin tone, but it is a very sheer powder which offers next to no coverage so the colour isn’t really a big deal and this shade is much closer to my skin colouring than the other two powders which they offer. I have tried to powder my full face with this after I applied my foundation and for me it just didn’t lock it into place enough, plus I felt like I used hell of a lot of the powder, for something like that I would much rather use a loose powder.
I won’t ramble on for any longer because I think I have said all that I need to say about this powder. This is a great powder for controlling my shine, it keeps my face looking flawless all day long and it is a lovely and silky powder that applies really stunning. As normal with all of my posts here on my blog I will leave a link to this Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Finish Powder down below in case you want to check it out. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know if you have tried this powder out and what you thought about it.
