My September Favourites

I think I say this at the start of every month but I really cannot believe that we are in October already. September was incredibly busy for me. Not to mention that on the 29th I turned 23 and I feel like shit just got real and I am now well and truly in the realms of been a full-fledged adult which is fucking terrifying to put it bluntly.
As everybody by now is probably well aware, me and the other half are saving for a house, so makeup has been well and truly on the back burner. I haven’t even bought a pair of shoes in months which really isn’t like me. To quote the great Carrie Bradshaw, “I’m cheating on fashion with furniture”, and the same can be said for makeup. I just have a couple things that I have been loving this month, so I thought I would share them with you, without any more rambling on, here we go…

I didn’t want to love this concealer. I really tried to resist the temptation of buying it, but I caved and now I can’t see myself ever having another holy grail concealer again. I know I said something similar about the Nars Radiant Creamy, the Becca Ultimate Cover Concealer and the Urban Decay Naked Weightless Concealer, but you get what I mean. This goes on so smoothly, it is nice and full coverage. There is no creasing and it stays put all day long. I have never used a concealer that gives as much of a flawless finish as that does. It may be a ball ache to get here in the UK, but it is out of this world!

Oh, how I am in love with this foundation. Why did it take me so long to try? I knew that this would be perfect for me but I didn’t think that it would be able to live up to my incredibly high expectations, well it did, and I cannot stop using it. I have literally worn this everyday more or less for months and I am going to have to go out and buy a new bottle already. I just love how full coverage this product is, but it also feels really nice, lightweight and comfortable on the skin. It blends in really nicely and just has a stunning finish. I really can’t wait to try out more by Too Faced after trying this foundation.

I have always been a fan of a big bold lip. I went through a stage of loving bright reds, then I went into loving more deep reds and now I am a huge fan of the brown lip. MAC Stone has been my go to for years but now I have discovered this Birkin Brown by Charlotte Tilbury, I have left my MAC lipstick out in the dust. Over the past month, I have been loving a much more natural makeup look with minimal eye makeup and a bold lip and this is the lipstick that I have reached for time and time again. Plus, with it being a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick you know for sure that it is going to perform really nicely.

4)    Jo Malone Peony &Blush Suede Perfume
By now everybody that knows me knows that I am having a little love affair with Jo Malone. I have loved them since day 1, and since I could actually afford to start buying their things, I have done. I am slowly but surely building up a Jo Malone fragrance collection and this is one of my latest additions to it. I am not quite ready to step into autumn yet, so this bad boy is keeping me well and truly in the summer mode. It is just such a light and airy fragrance that just makes you think of the summer. I am so glad that I bought this now because I have been wearing it nonstop!

I know that at this point you are probably all incredibly bored of people harping on about this mascara by now. But it deserves every little bit of praise that it gets. For a drugstore mascara literally performs as well as any high-end mascara that I have ever tried before. I know that I am going to keep one of these in my collection at all times because I literally reach for this every day. I couldn’t even begin to tell you how many tubes of this I have gone through in the past year and that just shows how much I love it.
That is it. I know this is really pathetic, when my normal favourites posts are usually around 10 products long. But, when my saving head is screwed on, I am really in the zone. As normal with all posts her on my blog, I will leave a link below to all of the items that I’ve mentioned. Leave me a comment down below and let me know what you’ve been loving in September!

  1. I love the sound of the Born This Way foundation, I always wear high-coverage foundations so I can't believe I've not tried this out yet. Looks like it would pair well with the Tarte concealer too. Good luck with saving up to move house! X
