Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede Pefume Review

I feel like Jo Malone is one of those brands that doesn’t need an introduction here on my blog. I have done so many posts about their stuff here on my blog over the years and I think that just shows how much I love the brand as a whole. I first tried Jo Malone a couple of years ago, I was a bridesmaid for one of my friends and we all went along to a Jo Malone store and found out perfect signature scent and it was a stunning experience. Since then, I have been hooked on the brand and everything new that they come out with I have to purchase. This perfume that I am going to talk about in this review is one that has kind of slipped under my radar, but I am so glad that I now have the Peony and Blush Suede Fragrance.
I first tried this perfume out when I went to my local Jo Malone counter. At the time, I wasn’t really in love with it, which is why I walked away from it. It was probably because I had just sampled countless other perfumes and I think after a while it really distorts your sense of smell because they all seemed to be mixing together. It wasn’t until I saw so many people talking about this on YouTube that I thought I would give it another go. I decided just to bite the bullet and buy a big bottle of it. I was sure from what people had been saying about this that I was going to love it, but if it wasn’t made for me, I would just demote it to being my everyday perfume for work until it ran out.

Needless to say, when I got this delivered to me, I was obsessed with it. I have never really liked floral smelling scents, I prefer much deeper and sexier scents, similar to Chanel No5 or YSL Black Opium. My exception to that rule is the Chanel Mademoiselle, which for years has been my go to perfume for the summer months where you want to be wearing something a little lighter. And that is what this Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede Perfume reminds me off. For months now this has been my most worn perfume and that is why I thought it decided a blog post completely dedicated to it.
Like I said at the beginning of this post, in my eyes, Jo Malone can do no wrong, but when it comes to this scent, they really hit the nail on the head. It is light and floral, but not too overpowering and it just makes you think of summer. The floral notes are there in this perfume, but there is an undertone of something deeper, that doesn’t make it come across as a sickly-sweet kind of scent. Plus, this seems to be a really longwearing perfume on my skin. With some perfumes, after a while they seem to fade, but with this I seem to get wafts of it the whole day long.

Everybody by now will probably know what I am madly in love with the Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt and the Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir, but I think it is safe to say that Peony and Blush Suede has just taken my top spot on my perfume shelf. Since I bought this I have even relegated my Chanel No5 to second choice, which has never really happened. Another way that I have been enjoying wearing the Peony & Blush Suede is layered with my Wood Sage and Sea Salt. The two perfumes just seem to work really well together and compliment the best parts of each other. It is a very unique scent, but one that I really love.
If you are on the market for a new perfume and you are into lighter and more floral scents then I would highly recommend it. Also, if you are lucky enough to live near a Jo Malone counter or store, go in and have a play around with layering different scents and see how things work and last on your skin. I will leave a link down below to this perfume and my other Jo Malone favourites in case you want to check them out. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know what some of your go to perfumes are!
