Tom Ford Bronzer Brush Review

I cannot believe that I am sat here at my laptop about to write a post about this incredibly expensive Tom Ford Bronzer Brush. I am sure if you are a lover of makeup like I am, then you will have heard about this makeup brush, or even seen it over the past couple of years. From the first time that I saw it I knew that I wanted to get my hands on it, but I just couldn’t bring myself to pay so much for a makeup brush. The most I have ever paid for a makeup brush was £45 for the Nars Ita Brush and even then, I felt a little bad when I bought it, so you can only imagine how I felt when I walked to the checkout with this £82 Tom Ford Bronzer Brush in my hands… and yes, I did say £82, and no I am not crazy.
Like I said, I wanted this brush from the first moment that I saw it. It looked stunning and it also seemed to apply the product really nice and smoothly when I saw it been used in makeup tutorials, but I just couldn’t bring myself to buy it. For me to actually commit to spending that money I had to go into a store and play around with one and see what I really thought about it. The whole way to the checkout with this brush in my hands I felt incredibly guilty. Even though I have the money sat in my bank account and I work hard every single day of the week, I still felt a little silly to be buying this. I just had the fact that to some families that don’t have a lot of money, this could be a weeks’ worth of food!
When I got home with this in my little gift bag and I showed my mum and boyfriend what I had bought, and then told them how much it had cost they nearly fell through the floor, which only added to my guilt. They both know how much money I spend on other things like handbags and shoes, but they thought this was very steep for a makeup brush, and even though I did agree with what they were saying, I couldn’t wait to have a play around with it. Even though before I could start to use it, I had to take a million photos of it still looking pristine.

Before I actually get into what I think about this Tom Ford Bronzer Brush, I just want to touch on how stunning this brush really is. I really don’t think that I have ever used a brush that looks as nice as this one does. The bristles are the perfect shape and pristine white. The gold hardware at the base of the brush just gives it a touch of something extra and makes it look like something that is high-end. Then the handle with the small gold embossed ‘Tom Ford’, I think just really helps to set it off. It is that stunning that I really had to talk myself into using it because I wanted to keep it looking perfect!
When I did start to use this brush, the first thing that I noticed is that it is by a mile the softest brush that I have ever used. To bronze my face up to this point I have been using the Morphe M527, which is a nice brush, but compared to how soft this brush is, it feels so scratchy. This brush is just so incredibly soft, and it just makes the product glide onto the skin so seamlessly. And because the bristles are so nice and soft, it allows you to really blend product into the skin and get a beautiful and seamless bronzer application. I have also washed this brush a couple times and the bristles have gone back to been just as soft as when I first bought this brush.

At first glance, this Tom Ford Bronzer Brush does look quite large and to people that aren’t that confident with applying bronzer, it probably can look a little daunting. But even though the brush looks quite wide, from the side, the brush is pretty narrow which means that you can get your bronzer to look quite nice and precise. With this brush, I don’t think that you could go in with too much bronzer because it just seems to do all of the work for you because of how high quality this brush is.
I have been using this brush for a couple of weeks now and I love it. It has even convinced me into buying other Tom Ford brushes and giving them a go because of how much I have been loving this one. I will leave a link to it down below to this brush in case you want to check it out. Also, make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know what your favourite makeup brush is for bronzing the skin with!

  1. I know what you mean about feeling guilty when buying something we don't have to have but we want. I have a hard time spending a lot of money on something I want but don't have a problem spending lots of money on something the kids or my husband wants. We do need to spoil yourself every now and again

  5. Oh Danielle what are you doing to me, you're now tempting me to also pay £82 on a brush! It does look absolutely stunning too and I actually prefer a large bronzer brush so oh so tempting. Maybe one day! I guess it's an investment!

    1. I know and that is exactly why it is taken me years to finally invest in it. If it comes down to chocolate or a brush, I would always go for Cadburys!
