My Everyday Makeup Products

This is the fourth time that I have tried to write this blog post. Do you ever just have one of them days where you aren’t really feeling it? Anything that I write, I read back over it and it just doesn’t feel to gel right to me. Content writing is part of my full-time job at work and I was struggling there as well. I guess, we all just go through those days where we get a little writer's block. I had a completely different blog post planned for today, but I can’t seem to get it from my mind, onto my laptop, so I am going to switch it up a little bit and let you know what my go to, everyday makeup products are at the current moment.
I do these posts quite often and that is just because I switch my makeup up so much. My sister uses the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation day in and day out, and the rest of her makeup stays pretty much the same. She knows what works for her, so she sticks with it. My makeup choices change with the wind, so I like to keep you guys as up to date as possible. But recently I have been loving these products, they all seem to work really well together and my makeup always comes out looking really nice and flawless. Anyway, let me hop into the post, before I read it back again, change my mind and have to start over again…

To start with for my base, I will first go in with my Benefit Porefessional. That obviously comes in after I moisturise and as normal I just use my Clinique Moisturiser that I have been using for years now. I allow my moisturiser and primer 5 minutes or so for the product to sink in, I then move onto the makeup. Before I apply anything else, I have been applying a little touch of my Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer to the tip of my nose. I have a scar there and it is a little raised and when I have a natural tan it can get quite dark, so I apply just a small amount of that with my finger to correct it. I will then go in with my Nars Sheer Glow Foundation on my Morphe M439 brush and buff it into the skin. I don’t think the Nars Sheer Glow needs any introduction here on my blog, I have loved it for a very long time.
For concealer, I will then go in with the Tarte Shape Tape. Another product that needs no introduction because this is really popular. It has incredibly coverage, is really creamy and blendable and makes the skin look really perfected. I use it to highlight, so I go in underneath the eyes, down the nose, chin and centre of the forehead. I will blend that all out with my damp Beauty Blender. The good thing about the Beauty Blender is that it removes product if you have gone in a little heavy. Then to set it into place, I will use the RCMA No Colour Powder, it is still my favourite and I don’t think you can get better for the price. It can give a white cast in photo’s, but for how often I have my photograph taken, it doesn’t bother me!

Next, to add some dimension back into the face, I will first use my MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in Give Me Sun. This is an orange toned bronzer, but really does make the skin look naturally sun kissed. It is a matte colour, but gives you a really healthy flush. I like to go in with this on a brush, and I will then take a clean MAC 187 Duo Fibre Brush and blend it into the skin to make sure that everything looks seamless and natural. Then for contour, my favourite at the minute has been the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder in Deep. I take that on my Nars Ita Brush and really chisel out the cheekbones. I take that powder on my cheekbones, forehead, down the sides of my nose really lightly and then under the jawline. For a daily basis, I have been skipping blusher all together.

For my brows, I just go in very lightly with the Anastasia Brow Pomade to map out the natural shape of my brows and add a little definition. I will also go in and fill in the sparse area where I have a scar thanks to my sister opening a cupboard door into my head at the age of 8. Then to lock my brows it is my good, old reliable Anastasia Brow Gel. As much as I love my Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows, it just isn’t as firm as the ABH brow Gel. If I want my brows to look thicker and fuller, I will go for the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows instead.
For my eyes, it is just something really simple and basic. On my eyelids, it is just my Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise in the shade Bette. It is a stunning gold shade, and I think it just brightens up my eyes. I just take a really small amount on my MAC 217 and apply a really light layer. With this product, you can build it up so that it is quite opaque, but I just go for a light wash of colour for everyday basis. Then I give my lashes a good curl and then apply lashings of my YSL Shocking Mascara.

Finally, for my lips, I just go really simple. I line the lips very lightly with my Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk. I very lightly fill it in with the same pencil, I then go in with my trusty Nivea Lip Balm.
And, there you have it. It is just a really simple and neutral look, with flawless looking skin. I will link to everything that I mentioned down below. 4. Ah your makeup sounds gorgeous, I love the idea of just using Pillow Talk liner on its own, I never really do that.

Also totally know how you feel about content writing, I definitely have lots of those off days where I just can't write!
