Follow Me Around

I have been blogging now for years and I feel like even though I post a lot, I don’t really share much about myself with you guys. I have been trying to do it a little more throughout this year. But I thought what better way for you guys to get to know me, than to let you snoop on me for a full day. So, last week I decided that I would jot down everything that I did and write this post for you. Obviously, I can’t do it real time because my posts go live at 11am, but this is everything that I did from start to finish last Saturday!
I started the day off by getting up and putting the house into some kind of order. I tidied it from top to bottom and when it was finished I just felt like a weight had been lifted. I love cleaning, I know that is super sad but it is one of my favourite things to do. I do it all the time to relief some stress and it works miracles for me.  I literally did everything, from cleaning windows, dusting, hoovering, mopping and bleaching every single surface. My house smelt like a hospital by the end of it, but it was amazing!

When my house was finally suitable enough to keep my OCD at bay I took little Martha for a nice long walk. She loves been out and going for long walks. I still can’t believe how big my baby has got. We went right up into the fields near where I live and I let her off the lead so that she could just run. We ended up walking home incredibly slow because we were both pooped from how far we got!
Then once I was back I started to get ready. I hopped in the shower, then got out and did my hair and makeup. I didn’t make too much of an effort though or put too much makeup on because I was going bridesmaid dress shopping with my sister so I didn’t want to get anything on the dresses!
I set off for the fitting around 1pm. I had to drive over to my sisters which takes about an hour or so. On the way, I stopped by Costa and got a big hot chocolate because I had been cold since I got out of the shower. Having cream though in a hot chocolate probably isn’t the best idea before a dress fitting. Anyway, it tasted good. When I got there, I picked everybody up and we headed off to the shop. Turns out I have lost inches since the last time I went which is a mother fucking bonus that I wasn’t expecting.
The fact that they had told me I had lost inches made me very happy that I was on my way home because it meant that I could eat and drink as much as I wanted that night without having to feel guilty about it. We were having some of our friends around to christen our new BBQ. I prepared some chicken, burgers and sausages and headed into the garden. I had just started the cooking as people started to turn up with far too much beer in their arms.
We have a new seating area built in the cover of the trees at the bottom of our garden. I put loads of old blankets down there and we have made a little bar down there so it is just a perfect place for us all to hang around without making my house too messy!
We spent all evening just picking at food and drinking far too much. Somehow our quiet garden BBQ resulted in us doing shots and somebody ended up carrying me to bed, but I guess that is a sign of a good night out. I woke up the next morning to a house full of half-drunk people that had just fallen asleep where they had flopped at the end of the night!
I’m actually quite glad that I chose last Saturday for you to follow me around because this week I am planning on not moving from my bed and I can’t imagine that me being lazy would entice you to keep reading for very long!
There you have, a little insight into me away from my blog. Most of the time I am just rushed off my ass or drinking too much wine. Leave me a comment down below and let me know what you’ve been up to this weekend!
