Revisited: Marc Jacobs Remarcable Foundation

When I first tried this foundation I didn’t think that I would ever be able to find anything that could beat it. I can remember been sat there in front of my laptop watching a Case Holmes video where she tried this out and I knew that I had to try it. I think I bought it the next day from Harrods online even though it cost me an arm and a leg, but it was love at first sight.
I can remember when I first used it I was completely in love. It covered everything on my skin without any effort at all and I thought that was perfect because I adore full coverage. I hate having to layer foundations to cover everything so something that was as intense as this was right up my street at the time. I can’t say that my tastes are still the same now.
So, I thought what better post for my next revisited post, than this Marc Jacobs Remarcable Foundation. I had to buy a new bottle because my shade that I had was much too dark, I thought the more tanned the better the other year, again something else that has changed recently!

When I first started to use it again I noticed hell of a lot of things about it that I didn’t the first time around. For started the coverage. Yes, I knew this was full coverage when I first started using it, but I never really noticed just how intense it is. I think the only way to know how full coverage this is you just have to try it out. Even if you only use a small amount it will still be full coverage no matter how much blending you do.
If you go too heavy handed with this foundation it can make your face look like it isn’t even real. It just looks far too much. Yes, I do like to cover my imperfections but I still want my skin to look like skin. And with this foundation no matter how light handed you go in, it is still too intense. But, each to their own, if you have more to cover on your skin then I can completely understand why this foundation would be perfect for you.
There is no denying though that when I had this foundation on that it looked perfect. I went to work in the morning and everything was covered and I knew that without a shadow of a doubt when I got back home it would look just as good. When this stuff is on the face and set with powder it doesn’t budge, not even if you get rained on or give your face a good rub, it just stays in place.
When I have used this foundation and had my photo taken I have ended up with pretty bad flashback. Whether that is down to the level of pigment that is in this foundation or if it is because of other products that I used as well as this foundation but I wouldn’t recommend this foundation if you know that you are going to have your photo taken.
I would suggest that this foundation is perfect for the people who love full coverage and have a lot of problems with their skin that they like to try and cover, if you have normal skin I would say that this is a little on the heavy side to use on an everyday basis.
I do still like this foundation and I think it is one of them product that I want to keep one of in my drawer because you are guaranteed to look flawless when you use it. For me, I think there are other good full coverage products on the market that can do the same if not a similar job for a cheaper price and with a less heavy texture. But for them times when I want full glam, this is the product that I will reach out for.

As normal with all posts here on my blog I will leave a link down below to where you can find it if you are interested. Be sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know if you have tried this foundation out and what you thought about it!

  1. Great review, this besides Kat Von D is the fullest coverage foundation I have ever used on a client. Sometimes I feel like it's a hit and looks wonderful on some people and then it's a miss and makes other peoples skin look dry.

  3. It's crazy how different you can feel about products after trying it again. My favourite full-coverage is Estee Lauder Double Wear because it doesn't feel like full coverage!
