Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturiser Review

I know this is probably going to sound quite crazy to some people, but I have never had any form of skincare routine. I used to watch YouTubers doing their skincare routine and I just couldn’t believe how long they would spend taking their makeup off and then applying cream. The reason that I have never done it is just sheer laziness. After working all day, cooking tea and going to the gym, the last thing that I wanted to do was stand and methodically take my makeup off.
But, I was sat in front of the mirror the other day in the broad daylight and I was like holy shit, my face is awful. I have always been proud of the face that I never get blemishes, but I haven’t actually analysed my skin. Recently I have noticed it changing more and more. I am no longer oily, I am combination because I have dry patches. And, when I was sat there looking at it, I knew it was about time that I started to take care of my skin a little more.
So, I logged onto Boots and placed a massive order. It came in and I have been using this for months now and I have been loving the results, so I thought it was about time that I shared it with you. I’m not going to get right into my new skincare routine in this post. This post is all about the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturiser.

Like I said earlier on in this post my skin is more on the combination side of things now. As if I hadn’t been kicked in the crotch enough with oily skin before, it has not got even worse and now I have dry patches too… hallelujah. So, I wanted a nice moisturiser to try and even out my rubbish dryness. I had no idea where to even start. I know that I wanted to try the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, but at £100 a pop, I thought I would go for something a little more reasonable first, to see if it works.
Everybody knows that Clinique is a good quality brand, especially when it comes to looking after the skin so it was really a no brainer when it came to trying this out. I don’t even think that I read anything about it or looked into it, I just bought it and gave it a go and I loved it from the first try.
I don’t use this all over my face. I just put the product where I feel that I need it. Around my nose, I am far too oily to add any other kind of moisture, so I avoid this at all costs. I will just jump this out onto my fingers and then rub it into the lower part of my face, especially around my mouth and in the centre of my forehead.
I normally apply the product and then I give it a good 10 minutes to soak in before I go in with my primers and my foundation just to make sure it goes right into the pores. Not only has my skin really started to look a lot healthier and plumped up, it also helps my makeup glide on so much easier.
I use this once in a morning and then again at night when I am taking my makeup off and I love the results. I will also reach for this is I am feeling a little dry and if I need a little more hydration. I really do wish that I tried this sooner because not only does it make my makeup look better, I have seen such a change in my skin when I don’t have my makeup on.
Now I know that this stuff works really well at correcting my dryness, I think I am going to go ahead and splurge on the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, so be prepared for a very pricey first impressions post!
As normal with all posts here on my blog I will leave a link down below to the item in case you want to check it out. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know if you have tried this moisturiser and what you thought about it, if not, let me know what your favourite everyday moisturisers are!

  1. I like this moisturiser but it isn't rich enough for my dry skin to use regularly - it's ok in summer though! xx

  3. This one is definitely on my list to buy, I've heard so many good things about it :) I'm currently using Hada Labo Tokyo's Absolute Smoothing and Moisturising Cream and I've been really loving it. I also have combination skin and it mositurizes it so well without being too heavy for summer, it has gel consistency so it's perfect for this time of the year :D

    1. It is so lovely, just creamy enough to hydrate, but thin enough for under my makeup!
