June Favourites

How weird is it that we are in July already? This year just seems to be absolutely flying by, I know that without a shadow of a doubt it will seem like it will be Christmas in no time at all. The fact that I am actually sat here at my desk about to crack on with my June favourites is a little bit scary to say the least. I feel like I can’t even remember the first half of the year because it has just flown by so fast I didn’t have a moment to take it in!
Anyway, without any more rambling on, I will jump into my June Favourites. June was the first time in quite a while that I have actually branched out and tried some new products in my attempt to try and save some money. I have finally caved in and I am back on the buying makeup bandwagon!

If you have followed my blog for some time now you will know that this is one of my ride or die concealers. I have mentioned it so many times and that is just because I reach for it so often. I love full coverage so this concealer is right up my street. I use it to highlight my under eyes because it is nice and thick and really helps to cover up my darkness and balance out the blue under my eyes. I like to blend this out using my damp Beauty Blender and it just gives a nice and light but porcelain looking skin. You do only get a small amount of product in the little pot, but it is so pigmented and a little goes a really long way.

I never knew that I could love a foundation half as much as I do this one. At first I really didn’t think that it would work for me and my skin. I normally have quite oily skin, but recently I would say it is swaying more to the combination side of things because I am getting a couple dry patches. So, this foundation has been a godsend. It keeps my skin nice and moisturised without been too oily in the areas where I have an issue with large pores and excess oils. I really think this foundation is one of them products that can work for everybody just depending on how you look after your skin beforehand and if you set it using a powder to lock it into place.

I love bronzer, I use bronzer every single day without fail, so when I tried this one out I knew it was going to be a firm favourite of mine. This is just a perfect summery bronzer. It has just the right tones to make it look like you have just been leisurely sat in the sun for a while and caught a bit of a tan without been anything too intense. Another reason why I love this is because of how blendable it is. If I go in with this a little too heavy, I can just go in with a big fluffy duo fibre brush and it blends it out so nicely and makes it look really flawless. It really is obvious why this bronzer has stood the test of time and is still so popular.
This probably comes as no surprise to some people that this is in yet another favourites post. I have never really been a massive fan of blusher until I tried this one out. The ones I have tried before have either been too pigmented and leave you looking like a clown or you physically have to scrape product out of the pan and pack it on just to get any kind of colour pay off. This blusher is just effortlessly perfect. The fact that it is essentially two colours in one is just beyond stunning and it works so well for me. I can’t wait to try more Charlotte Tilbury blushes because the quality of this one has been out of this world!

I first saw Charlotte Tilbury using this in a YouTube video well over a year ago. From that first video, I knew that I had to have it. I have huge bushy eyebrows and they are very natural and pretty wild so everything that can help to tame then and hold them in place I need to try it out. The reason why I was so drawn to this one is because it has fibres in it, so not only does it coat the brow hairs it also makes them look thicker and fuller and that is what I am all about. I have been using this on and off with my Anastasia Brow Gel for ages now but this one has just took the top spot for me.

I know that this is probably another product that you have seen all over my blog time and time again. When I first bought this I wasn’t too sure about it, not because of the product but just because it was already everywhere. To be honest I thought people just liked this because of the pretty pink packaging but when I actually got to trying it out I very quickly fell in love with it. I have been using it now for months on end and I am besotted with it. Don’t get me wrong I really do love my YSL Shocking Mascara, but for an incredible drugstore product I don’t think you can go wrong with this Maybelline Mascara.

I first bought this lipstick about a year ago, now and I use it to death. I am sure this is my 2nd tube of this stuff which just shows how much I love it because I very rarely finish a lipstick. The thing about this lipstick is just that it is the most perfect colour, it glides on so smooth and is so nice and hydrating on the lips. I was sceptical about the steep price tag to start with but now I have tried it I can completely see why they charge so much for one of these lipsticks, the quality of them really is second to none. I recommend these lipsticks to just about everybody that I know and they make great presents because people don’t tend to want to spend this much of their own money on a lipstick!
There you go, my June favourites. These are the products that saw me through my Italian holiday and stood the test of time against the heat and humidity. I love these all and I have been using them pretty much nonstop. I think I’m going to have to be even repurchase some of these things very soon because I’m running incredibly low!
As normal I will leave links down below to the items that I’ve mentioned in case you want to check them out. Be sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know what products you’ve been loving through June.

  1. I've never heard of the Becca Ultimate Cover Crème before but it sounds really lovely! I also love the CT Cheek to Chic Blush in Sex on Fire and I highly recommend First Love from the same range, it is lighter but it is also very discrete and perfect for people (I'm one of those as well) who don't usually appreciate blushers! Great favourites :)
