My Go To Everyday Makeup Products

If you have frequented my blog for some time you will know that I own far too much makeup. I buy some pretty much every week and when new things come out I have to try them straight away. I know it is irrational but I guess it just a little part of the hoarder inside of me.
I do hell of a lot of reviews here on my blog and even though I do use vast majority of the products in my collection there is a few items that without fail I will use every day. Most week days I am just in the office at work so I don’t need to go full glam, I just want something that I know will last well on my skin and look nice all day long, so I go back and use the same products pretty much day in day out.
So, I thought I would let you know what my fool proof products are and what I always go back and use because I know that they work well for me. Without any more rambling, I will jump into this post…

I used to think that primers we a little silly because I felt like I was paying my money for something that was see through, and I hate doing that. I want to have something to show for my money. Then I discovered this primer and I was in love with it. I use a really small amount and just apply it on the area around my nose where I tend to get oily and it controls it all day long. I don’t think I have ever used a primer that I rate as highly as I do this Benefit Porefessional, it is really nice, comfortable and does what it says on the tin.

I have been using this foundation on and off for years. I have used the Nars Sheer Glow foundation in loads of shades over the years depending on how tanned I am and every single one has been consistent and really nice. I would say that it is a medium to full coverage and really nice and buildable. I was nervous about using this at first because it is a glowy foundation and I have an oily skin type, but it just makes my skin look really nice and healthy. If I use a primer before I go in with this foundation and then I set it with powder it is locked in place all day long.

I have used this concealer for years now and it is just perfect. I have a lot of darkness under my eyes so obviously I want to cover it and this is the perfect concealer for the job. It is nice and full coverage but it isn’t too much or too intense. It doesn’t crease under the eyes and it just stays put and does the job. It is also really nice and pigmented and a little bit of it goes a very long way. I got the shade Custard because I felt like everybody else in the world had this shade and to be honest it is the perfect colour for my skin tone.

Over the years I have spent far too much money on trying to find the perfect cream contouring products. Little did I know that I would end up loving this LA Girl Pro Conceal which I think I bought on Amazon for about £4. This is such a great product because it glides on really smoothly, blends out really nice with either a brush or a sponge and just looks really airbrushes and perfectly finished on the skin. I am yet to find anything that beats this. I reach for it pretty much every single day so I think that proves just how much I love it and how highly I rank it.

The RCMA No Colour Powder has been my ultimate favourite powder for years now. To say that it is a powder that sets your face and makes you matte it is still nice and hydrating, I know them two things don’t really go together but it is true. I use this to lock all of my foundation and concealer into place and it doesn’t cause any creasing and it is just nice and comfortable to wear all day long. Plus, it is super cheap and a little goes a very long way. One tub of this stuff can end up lasting me about 6 months or even more depending on how much I pound onto my face!

Define The Eyes with MAC Eyeshadows
There are loads of eyeshadows out there on the market and even though loads of them may full well be out of this world I don’t think you can go wrong with good old MAC Eyeshadows. The thing I love about these over readymade palettes is that when you run out of a certain shade that you love you can just get the certain shade again rather than having to buy a whole palette. Cork is my personal favourite shade because it looks great blended into the crease and into the lower lash line.

There is nothing better than my Maybelline Sensational Mascara. I have been having a little love affair recently with the YSL Shocking Mascara but this is still my most used mascara. For the price of this you really cannot find another mascara in the drugstore for a better price. I love how it the brush is like a comb because it really gets into the root of every single lash hair and elongates and extends them!

I didn’t think that anything would knock my Anastasia Brow Pomade off my top spot but this Hourglass product really has. The great thing about this product is that it is really quick and easy to use. I can get this out and it will literally take me a couple seconds to get my brows on and into place just where I want them. Plus, it has a nice big spooley on the other end which is great for combing the product through your brow and getting them to look really nice and natural.

I like to lock my brows into place with my Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows. The reason why I love this product so much is because it sticks to even the tiniest brow hairs that you have and it makes them look thicker and fuller and that is always the end game for me. I have used this pretty much every single day since I bought it and I am showing no signs of slowing down yet.

Not a day goes by where I don’t bronze my skin up. I hate feeling pale, even though I don’t think I could ever feel pale with the deepness of my skin, but bronzing is a little like my security blanket, when I am bronzed and tanned I just feel genuinely better in my skin. I love the Makeup Forever bronzer because it has a nice glowing sheen to it and it makes you look very naturally sun kissed.

I tend to contour near enough every single day. I know that to some people contouring is just something you do when you are going full glam but for me, if I don’t contour I feel like my face is as big as the moon. I love this Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder because it is just the perfect shade for my skin tone and because it has ashy undertones it is perfect for contouring. I didn’t think this product would last very long because it is pretty small in the packaging, but it is really pigmented and blendable and a little goes a very long way.

I know this will probably seem quite alien to some people but blush is something that is quite new to me and I am now obsessed with wearing it. For the past year or so I have been gravitating towards blush every single day, I just think that it makes my skin look much healthier with a natural flush. This one is my favourite by Charlotte Tilbury but I have also been loving the ones by Benefit.

Moisturise The Lips with Nivea Lip Balm
Normally when it comes to my day to day makeup I don’t opt for lipstick or lip liner. I suffer with really chapped lips quite naturally so for when I am sat at work just behind my desk I will just constantly lather my lips in Nivea Lip Balm. It just makes my lips nice, soft and hydrated for when I actually want them to look nice under lipstick.
There you have the 13 products that I am constantly running out of and constantly having to repurchase because I genuinely wear them that much. These are just my ultimate go to products, if I am running out of ideas and lacking some inspiration for makeup looks I will just opt for these old favourites and I know that I won’t be let down.

As normal with all of my blog posts I will leave links down below in case you want to check any of the items that I have mentioned out. Also be sure to leave me some comments below and let me know what your sure fire products are!

  4. I love the La girl concealer! It's so amazing for the price, I'm keen to pick up their peach corrector shade. I'm also loving their foundation. They make really great base products for an affordable brand. x

    1. I really was to try their yellow corrector for under my eyes because of the brightness, but I don't know how it would cope with the oils around my nose!
