Products Worth The Splurge

These past few months I have been buying makeup like a crazy woman. Well, I guess when I actually think about it I have been buying everything. Last year I literally saved all year long and didn’t spend a penny, so this year I have decided to treat myself a little bit.

So, I have had a lot of new makeup that I have been playing with recently and I have got some new favourites. I thought that I may as well try and help people out by wasting/spending my money on so much makeup by letting you know what is the best of the best. This post is all about what products I think are worth the splurge, so these are all higher end products that I am loving right now…

As soon as I saw this foundation I knew that I had to try it. I love a good stick foundation and I am pretty sure that I have tried majority of the ones on the market out. This is just one product that I haven’t been able to put down since I first got it.

It applies like a dream. It is really nice and creamy and blends away either with a brush or a Beauty Blender so easily. I am already on my third tube of this stuff because of how good it is. I will admit that it is on the pricier side of the spectrum, but the quality really does justify the high price tag.

I have always been in the mindset that surely all mascaras do the same thing, which is why I had never tried a high-end mascara. I thought whether it costs £3 or £30, a mascaras job makes the lashes long and black and that is that.

Since trying this YSL Shocking mascara I can now see just how wrong I was. Everything about this product is outstanding. My lashes have genuinely never looked as good as they do when I use this mascara. It makes my lashes look longer and thicker without applying too much product or clumping them up. It has just balanced everything out perfectly.

3)     TomFord Lipstick

I questioned whether I should get this lipstick for absolutely ages. As stunning as it looked, I just didn’t know if I could justify spending nearly £40 on a lipstick. I would say that Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks at around £23 is a normal price for a high-end lipstick, so I had to really talk myself into this one.

I am so glad that I did. This lipstick is really creamy and buttery. It keeps my lips hydrated which is a massive thing for me because I suffer with really bad chapped lips. Also, the shade range is really impressive, there will definitely be something in their range to suit pretty much every single skin tone.

I initially wanted this product just for the packaging because in photographs. I know it is silly just to buy a product because of how it looks, but photography is part of the whole blogging thing so I wanted it as a good prop. Never did I think that I would love it as much as I do.

I thought the contour shade would be the stand out product for me, which it really is. But I am head over heels for the highlighting shade. It is out of this world. It is just the right amount of everything. I don’t like a highlight that is too harsh so this has been my go to product for months now. I will definitely be repurchasing.

I seem to go through stages with this concealer but it one of them that I always go back to. It is exactly as the name suggests, it is radiant and creamy. I love this for my under-eyes. It glides straight on and blends out like a dream with my damp Beauty Blender.

The best thing about this concealer is that it gives you a full coverage look, but it feels really nice and lightweight on the skin. Plus, through all of the times that I have used this concealer I haven’t known it to crease up once.

When I first started writing this blog post I made it really long but then I stripped it right back. I just thought that if I had limited money in the bank but wanted to dip my toe into higher end makeup, these are the items that I would choose.

I have never been let down by any of these products and I know that day after day when I reach for them that they are going to work well for me and my skin tone and last all day long. As normal with all my blog posts I will link below to where you can find these items in case you want to check them out!

    1. I didn't really like it at first, I found it a little too hard to try but now I use it with my moisturiser and primer, I love it!
