My Most Used Makeup Productcs

If you have been reading my blog for some time you will know that I have a problem when it comes to buying makeup. That problem being that I just cannot bring myself to stop buying it. I know that it is crazy to spend as much as I do on makeup, but I just can’t help it. I love the feeling of trying out products and finding something that I love.
I do understand though that most people just don’t get it. Like my boyfriend for example, even though he would never try and tell me what I can and can’t spend my money on, he does reserve his judgement. When a new makeup package gets delivered his favourite thing to say is, “how can such a teeny tiny face need so much makeup”. I get it, I really do, but in my makeup collection I have some absolute gems.
I know that I do a favourite post every month about the products that I have been loving for the past 4 weeks, so I thought I would go one better and look through my collection and see what items are my most used products out of my whole collection. This post is all about the products that have spanned years or the ones that I have had to repurchase again and again. Let me jump into it!

1)    Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
The Nars Sheer Glow is one of them products that I just always go back to. This foundation is probably one of my ultimate holy grail products and for me to class a foundation as that you know that it gets really high praise from me. When I use this foundation, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that my base makeup will look flawless and stay put all day long. I never thought that this foundation would work for me with me having oily skin but it does and it works really well, it just makes my skin look really healthy.

2)    Urban Decay Naked Weightless Concealer
I saw everybody on YouTube and on blogs raving about this concealer so naturally it made me really want to try it. But the stubborn person that I am put off buying it because I thought surely it can’t be worth the hype, I was wrong and it is worth all of the hype that it gets. This product is really nice and smooth when you apply it, it blends out like a dream and it looks so flawless and full coverage. I am on about my 4th tube of this concealer now and I have no signs of slowing down with it. I would say that my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is catching it up, but for now this is still my most used concealer.

3)    Benefit Porefessional Primer
I have always thought in the past that primers were a little bit of a myth. I don’t like paying for something that is clear and that I can’t see on the skin because I just feel like I haven’t got anything for my money but the whole game changed when I bought this primer. Having oily skin I was just used to blotting my face throughout the day but now that I have this primer that is gone. I put this on in the morning before I apply my makeup, just in the area around my nose which gets oily. Then I leave it to soak in for 10 minutes and I go in with my foundation and it just keeps the whole area really smooth and my oils under control.

4)    LA Girl Pro Concealer
For cream contouring this is my go to product. I love a good cream contour because it just helps to bring life back into my face after I go in with concealer and nothing compares to this LA Girl Concealer. I apply this to the upper part of my forehead, down my cheekbones and under my jawline and then I blend it out using the MAC 130 and it just looks so seamless. I have tried loads of things for cream contouring and this is my favourite and to say it is only £5 it is really good quality.

5)    RCMA No Colour Powder
No other setting powder compares to this. It is super cheap, absolutely amazing and you get so much in the tub that it lasts a really long time. I have been using this for probably 3 years with only a small gap to trial the Laura Mercier powder and then I went right back to this without hesitation. To say it is a powder it is moisturising and doesn’t dry my skin out at all. I recommend this powder to all of my friends and family and they all love it just as much as I do!

6)    Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette
This eyeshadow palette was on my wish list for the longest time before I actually committed to spending my money and bought it. I love all 4 shades, especially the gold glitter shade. Ever shade is really wearable and just looks so pretty. I use and abuse this palette, I know for sure if I am going out and I want my makeup to look a little special I will reach for this without a shadow of a doubt. Also, the red shade is out of this world for smoking out your look into the crease.

7)    YSL Shocking Mascara
I am yet to find a mascara that is as good as this one. I never used to understand how they could charge so much for high end mascaras, I was just under the assumption that they did the same as drugstore mascaras, but I was wrong. Never have I used a mascara that gives as much lift and curl to my eyelashes as this one does. Not to mention that it smells amazing which is strange for a mascara but makes me love it even more that if it was just normal.

8)    Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade
I stayed well away from this pomade for years because I was terrified of the idea of it. I had seen loads of people using it on YouTube and I just didn’t like how it looked. I felt like it made the brows look really waxy and just overly fake. Then I got it and used it how I wanted to and I am obsessed with it. It is pretty much the only brow product that I reach for on a daily basis other than my brow gel. I use this on an angled brush and just keep combing through the brow hairs and it just makes it look natural and not overly harsh.

9)    Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder
I have been using this for quite a while now and it is one of my favourite products when it comes to powder contouring. I did initially get the medium shade which seems to be the shade which all of the world uses. I got it and never used it because it just didn’t show up on my skin, so I went for the deep shade and I have been loving it ever since. It has warmth to it, but ultimately it is a great contouring shade. When I use this with my Charlotte Tilbury Cheek and Sculpt brush it just makes your face look so chiseled.

10) Makeup Forever Pro Bronze Fusion
I love a good old bronzer and this is the best one that I have tried in a very long time. It is such a nice deep shade and looks really pretty on my olive skin tone. It is great when I pair it with my Tom Ford Bronzer Brush. Just a light dusting on my forehead and a touch down my cheekbones and it literally looks like you have had a good few hours out in the sun. It is orange toned like majority of blushes but it doesn’t look that way on the skin it just looks very glowing and natural.

11) Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush
I have never really been a huge fan of blushers in the past. I have always been more about bronzing rather than using blusher. But then I saw somebody use this blush in a video and I knew that I had to try it out. What I love about this blush is that it is two shades in one. You can either use them together in the swish and pop motion that it is intended or you can use the individual shades. I have the shade Sex on Fire and it looks flawless on the face and blends away really nicely.

12) MAC Lip Liner in Spice
Even though I have been loving and using the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheats recently I have to admit that the MAC lip liner in the shade Spice is still by a long shot my most worn lip liner. It is such a lovely deep shade. If I can’t even be bothered to think about my makeup I will just reach for this lip liner without even thinking about it and I will use it to fill in all of my lips, it is just such a great shade.

13) Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Bitch Perfect
I have been wearing this lipstick for absolutely ages. I think it was the first lipstick that I have ever bought from Charlotte Tilbury and I have to say that it really didn’t disappoint. The Bitch Perfect shade is just the perfect colour for the natural shade of my lips. I would say that it is practically a your lips but better shade for my lips. Plus because it isn’t a matte shade it is really nice and moistening and really nice to wear on your lips all day long.
There you have my favourite and by far the most used makeup items in my collection. I use these items pretty much day in day out and they are the items that I always go back and start to use over again. I know that you will have probably seen posts on all of these items before but these are the things that I just cannot live without.
As normal with all posts on my blog I will link down below to where you can find all of the items that I have mentioned. Make sure to leave me a comment below and let me know what your most reached for products are!
