Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil vs Anastasia Brow Wiz

As you may or may now know, I am obsessed with brows. I always have been and for me the motto is the bigger the better. Sometimes I have been known to go just a tad too bold, but I love them. I just think that brows can completely transform your face and when they are done right they just look bomb.

Which is why I wanted to do a post on two of my favourite brow tools. One of them is my ride or die which is my Anastasia Brow Wiz, and the other is my new personal favourite the Hourglass Arch Brow Pencil. I have been switching it up between these two products for the past couple of weeks now, so I wanted to let you guys know which one is the best of the best.

First, as normal with all of my comparison posts I will start out with the packaging. The Hourglass Arch Brow Pencil really does take the crown when it comes to this. It is just so much sleeker and has a more luxurious feel than the Brow Wiz. Not that there is anything wrong with the Anastasia packaging but I just feel that it reflects the price of the product, which is a good thing. For the price of the Hourglass pencil this is how I would expect the packaging to be.

When you look at the nib of both of these products they are completely different. The Anastasia Brow Wiz has a very small and precise tip which allows you to draw small individual brow hairs in. Then with the Hourglass Arch Brow Pencil is a much thicker nib which means that it applies much quicker than the brow wiz. But, as a result of the bigger nib you can’t get them individual brow hairs in like you can with the Brow Wiz.

So recently I have been using both of these on an everyday basis which I know may sound excessive but its not as bad as it sounds. I tend to use the Hourglass Arch Pencil throughout the main part of my eyebrow and to define the shape, I love this pencil for this because it makes it look really soft and natural. Then I have been using the Anastasia Brow Wiz for the inner part of my eyebrow to get a soft and natural ombre look.

Now, finally for the price of these two products. They are both completely different ends of the spectrum when it comes to price. The Anastasia Brow Wiz retails for around £15.50 and the Hourglass Arch Sculpting Pencil is £29 which is a massive difference. For the Anastasia I really don’t think you can go wrong for the price. As nice as the product and packaging is on the Hourglass I am unsure if I think it is worth the whole £29.

If I had to choose between these two products I don’t think that I really could. I have started to love them both for different reasons. But for value for money and the overall look that the product gives you I would personally go with the Anastasia Brow Wiz. I do love the Hourglass but I know for a lot of people it is out of their price range, and the Anastasia is honestly out of this world!

As normal with all posts here on my blog I will link down below to where you can find these products. Also, if you have any comments or questions be sure to leave them below and I will get right back to you!

  1. The Hourglass one looks more like the ABH Brow Definer, which is thicker & slanted. I haven't tried the Hourglass one but will avoid in case I love it as its so pricey! xx

  2. I used the Hourglass one absolutely years ago and whilst I loved it, I too didn't quite feel it was worth the price so now use cheaper ones. I'll try the ABH one though!
