Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation Review

I don’t even know where I should start with this Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation. It has soon become a firm favourite of mine. If I am just doing my normal everyday makeup for work this is the foundation that I will reach for.

I bought this foundation because of YouTube. I know it is silly to buy things recommended of there because most are biased because of affiliations and obvious different skin types and tones. But when Casey Holmes uses something I buy it immediately. We have a similar skin colour and we both have oily skin, and all in all she is just a godess.

Anyway let’s get onto this Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation…

You get 30ml of product with the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation. This is a pretty standard amount for a bottle of foundation. But for how much you need of this stuff, I can see a 30ml bottle lasting you a very long time.

When you unscrew the foundation lid it has a wand applicator with a doe-foot sponge on the end. Then as you pull the wand out of the bottle there is a stopper which pulls some of the product off, so you don’t have too much. Not the best packaging in my opinion because it isn’t very hygienic. If you put this wand on a blemish, then back in the bottle and back onto your face, not only have you spread the germs, but they are now also inside the bottle. But, this personally isn't something that bothers me.

The consistency of this foundation is incredible. It is very lightweight on the skin and it makes it feel like you aren’t even wearing anything. The only thing that I don’t like about this foundation is the texture of the doe-foot applicator on my skin, but that is personal preference.

The coverage of the Clinique Beyond Perfecting foundation I find to be a medium to full coverage foundation. If I apply one layer all over my face I can still see my hyper-pigmentation on my cheeks, but I tend to just apply one small dot on each cheek where I have problems, and then everything is completely covered.

The packaging of the Clinique Foundation is nice but nothing too fancy. It is a glass bottle so not that great for travelling with because it could smash. But for everyday use at home this packaging is fine. I like that it has a screw lid because you know that non is going to spill out. But again, I still have a problem with the wand applicator. And because of the stopper when you get to the bottom of the bottle, even if you turn it upside down you can’t get the product because it gets stuck around the stopper.

Finally, onto the price. Here in the UK this product retails for approximately £25. I am sure that is how much I paid for mine. Which for 30ml of product I think is really good especially when you take into account the quality of the product. Also with this foundation, a little goes a really long way because of how pigmented it is so I can see this lasting me forever.

That is everything that I have to say about this foundation. If you have tried it out I would love to hear from you and find out what you have to say about it. Either leave me a comment or drop me an email and I would love to get back to you. As normal I will leave a link below to where you can find this foundation!

  1. I had a really bad experience with this foundation when it was used on me for my friends hen party and I actually took it off me after about an hour πŸ™ˆ it just exaggerated everything wrong with my skin! My mum has it and I think she likes it though!
