Life Update

I thought that it was about time that I did a little life update post for you guys before. If you have visited my blog before and read a couple of my posts, you will know that I never really post anything too personal on here.

I get posts up pretty much every single day about new products and fashion items and that is about it. I may mention my work or my boyfriend ever now and again but that is about it. But, I feel like I am at a point where I want people to get to know me a little better, so this is me opening up!

Recently things have just got really intense for me. As you may already know I have a full-time job and I do my blog as a side-line. A side-line that I love though don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t change it for the world. But, I seem to have got busier in both my full-time job and my blog and it can be overwhelming.

I know I am not the only person who is a blogger as well as working full time, but it can be hard. I get up in a morning and check blog emails. Then head off to work and blog on my breaks. Then when I am back at home I get cracking straight on with my blog and to anybody else in the same boat as me… I feel ya sista!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not moaning about been a blogger and the fact that I am getting busier is obviously a good sign, but everything seems to have happened all at once. I know this is really a good thing but I have also been promoted in my full-time job which is amazing, but with that goes more work, and more pressure!

When I do seem to get this busy is when my OCD kicks into overdrive. My boyfriend woke up the other night and I was bleaching the floors at 3am, I don’t know what it is but cleaning and organising just seems to scratch a metaphorical itch for me!

I mean that literally, you should see how many lists I have to keep on my phone just to keep my mind sane. I try and make light of my OCD but sometimes it just gets really intense and it just makes my mind feel jumbled from time to time.

In better news though I am going to be an aunty soon. We found out a few months ago, that my sister was pregnant for the first time. We are all so excited and it has brought me, my mum and my sister so much closer together. Me and my sister have always had a very strained relationship but this little baby seems to have built a bridge for us.

But, she lives quite a way away from us because she moved for work years ago. It just means I have lots of commuting to do to go and see her and for the doctors’ appointments. So, when she goes into labour and I need to get to hers I will literally be foot to the floor the whole day down the M1 just to get there on time!

To help me reach my baby niece or nephew in time though I have treated myself to a new car. I felt like it was time for my trusty Fiat 500 to retire. It has served me well through the years, but for what I want now it is just far too small. Great for what I initially wanted but I just felt like it was time for an upgrade.

So, I am now the proud owner of a Nissan Juke. I know these are either the kind of cars that people love or hate but I am obsessed with mine. It is my little baby and I am so proud of myself for been able to get it. Plus, it has seat warmers which is a god send for somebody as cold blooded as me!

I feel like that’s all I’ve got to say really. Other than I am just about to go and take my puppy for a huge walk. She is still in the chewing everything stage, so as I have been writing this post she has been trying to jump up at my desk and snatch my MacBook from underneath my fingers. Wish me luck!

  1. It's actually my first time visiting your blog, but it's great to learn more about you! Honestly I'm amazed that you can blog almost every day while working full time, I found it so difficult when I started my first job that I ended up taking such a long break and I've only recently started to get back into it! Well done for sticking with it, I really wish I had! :)

Congratulations about becoming an Aunty, I bet you can't wait! :)
