February Favourites

I cannot believe that we are in March already. More to the point I cannot believe that I am actually awake and setting this post live. As you may or may not know I have just been on a hen weekend. I went on Friday and got back late last night. Anybody who knows me knows that I like early nights and face masks, not nightclubs and constant supplies of prosecco, so to say that I am rough would be a vast understatement.
Anyway, I got to try a lot of new makeup in February so I thought that I just had to do my favourites post. I really threw myself into work in February, I am really trying to focus on getting my blog to go from strength to strength. I feel like since November my blog has been secondary to my full time job, which I guess is how it should be, but I wanted to make a real conscious effort to turning things around!
So, here are my favourite products from February…

1)    Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Pillow Talk
When this lipstick was first released I was sure that I didn’t need it. I just thought it would be another lipstick that was neutral toned like so many of my other lipsticks are. But, then I saw it all over blogs and Instagram and I knew that I had to give it a go. I bought it and I have worn it pretty much every single day since I first got it. It is a matte texture, really creamy and wearable. It also looks so stunning when it is on because it is the perfect Pillow Talk shade, I highly recommend this lipstick!
2)    Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Cologne
I have been wearing this perfume for such a long time and I am still just as obsessed with it as I was the first day that I bought it. It is such a lovely deep smell which is right up my street because I am not a fan of overly floral scents. I tend to get so many compliments on this perfume which is always a nice feeling. But, I do have to say that this perfume really isn’t for everybody. Some people and it really is a very small fraction aren’t massive fans of it, but at the end of the day I love it, and I am the one wearing it.
3)    Anastasia Brow Gel
I have been attempting to go for a more natural look with my brows. I have very large eyebrows, I am very lucky in the sense that many years of over plucking hasn’t really resulted in that much lasting damage to my eyebrows. But I do fill them in and I love to make them really strong, but what I have been doing is just brushing and taming the hairs using this Anastasia Clear Brow Gel, it holds everything so solidly in place and helps them to look fuller!
4)    YSL Shocking Mascara
I have said it before on my blog and I will say it again. I am completely head over heels in love with this mascara. I am sure by now I have mentioned it in a few favourites posts but it just performs so well. It makes my lashes look really long and thick and hold a curl perfectly. There is nothing uncomfortable about this mascara. It stays put, doesn’t smudge and is easy to take off which is really important for me because I hate tugging on my eyelashes.
5)    Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
I have been a massive fan of this foundation since the first day I got it. I didn’t think in a million years that this would work with my oily skin type but it does and it works very well. This foundation just makes my skin look really healthy without been overly dewy. I am not a fan of the dewy look but when this foundation is set with powder it is locked in place all day long, but still has a healthy look to it. I can’t really say any more about it other than I just really love it and highly recommend it to everybody!
I know there isn’t as many favourites as there normally is but I have just been finding things that I love and really sticking with them. Make sure you leave me a comment below and let me know what your favourite makeup products have been through February and I will be sure to check them out!

  1. I really want to retry the GA foundation - I have a bottle in my collection but the shade is far too dark for me now. About time I resplurged I think!

  2. My husband bought me a bottle of Pomegranate Noir but I didn't like it because of the clove scent - I tried layering it with other JM fragrances but just couldn't get it to work so I gave it to a friend and she loves it! I adore that foundation & lipstick xx
