Benefit Porefessional Primer Review

I cannot believe how long it has taken me to finally try the Benefit Porefessional Primer. This seems to be like a cult beauty product for people with oily skin so in reality I should have tried it much sooner than I did.

I think part of it is down to the fact that I didn’t think that primers did anything. I hate paying for something that is clear, I know that sounds ridiculous but it’s true. I like to have something to show for my money and I just don’t feel like I have when I buy primers or setting sprays.

But I got to a stage with my makeup where I was paying for all these expensive base products like foundations and concealers and they weren’t looking as good as they could because of my skin type. So, I finally caved and started trying out more primers.

This Benefit Porefessional was one of them what was right at the top of my list to try out. If you have oily skin or even just large pores I feel like this is one of them holy grail products that you have to own or at least try out a couple of times.

As soon as I got this product delivered I raced straight upstairs to try it out. I use just a really small amount and then apply it around my nose. This is the area that I have a problem with my skin. The sides of my nose tend to get oily and the pores around my nose look quite large.

When I apply this primer, I tend to just leave it for 10 minutes before going in with foundation just to let it soak into the skin. That way I know that the primer isn’t going to move around on my skin. As soon as you start to apply this primer to the skin it just feels like silk. It really makes my skin feel so much smoother automatically.

There is nothing sticky about this primer, it just glides on really nicely and soaks into the skin in absolutely no time at all. For me, this primer gets to work straight away. I can see straight off the back that my pores look smaller and my skin just looks smoother. Plus, when I then go in with my foundation it blends out so much nicer on top of the foundation.

Since I bought this primer I have been using it every single day and I have to admit it has really kept my oil at bay. I normally go in and blot my face a couple times a day around my nose and I probably only do that once now and that is just through habit more than anything else I think.

I cannot recommend this primer enough. It has absolutely smashed every other primer that I have tried recently right out of the park. It is my new go to and I even have another one on order, I just wish that they did them in larger tubes!

As normal here on my blog is you have any questions about this primer just leave them in the box down below. Also, I will link to where you can find this primer in case you want to check it out. So, what primers have you been loving in 2017?

  1. I've been using Illamasqua Hydra Veil for a while now as my skin is so dehydrated. Porefessional is a primer that I've been meaning to try for ages but have never wanted to spend that much money on incase it didn't work for me. x

    1. Honestly it is the best primer that I have ever used. I do try to concentrate it around my nose where I am oily because it can cling to dry patches!
