Aesop Hand Balm vs Soap & Glory Hand Cream

I wanted to do a comparison post on these two products because when I did a post for the Aesop Hand Balm I seemed to reference the Soap and Glory Hand Cream quite a lot. I am not in any way trying to say that these products are the same or even trying to be the same. This post is just my opinion in what one I would personally go for again.

The first big thing that I want to talk about is the packaging of these two products. The Soap and Glory hand cream is in a plastic/rubber packaging. It does look nice to say that it is cheap and cheerful. It is definitely a step up from the last ‘Hand Food’ packaging that they had that just looked cheap and the stickers peeled off them.

The Aesop Hand Balm is stunning packaging, but that is just in my opinion and to my taste. It is in a blush pink aluminium tube, a bit like what you get paint in. I just love how it looks. I have been using this in so many flat lay images for my blog and my Instagram just because of how stunning it is.

Now actually onto the product itself. I have been using the Soap and Glory Hand Cream for so long. I always get it in sets at Christmas so it is just so handy to dot around everywhere. So, I never really had anything to compare it to because it is the only hand cream that I have used. I thought that it did a good job and I guess in a way it did. It did the job of keeping my hands soft.

The thing with the Soap and Glory cream is that it left a greasy film on my hands. If I popped some on while I was at work and I needed to pick up a pen it would literally just slide right out of my grasp. I hate that feeling, it feels like when your young and you put too much sun cream on and you just can’t get it to soak in.

With the Aesop Hand Balm that isn’t the case at all. Just the smallest but leaves the skin so smooth and best of all it soaks straight in. I have been using this near enough constantly for months now and I have never had an issue with it feeling greasy on my hands. And, I have noticed such a big difference with how soft my hands have been.

I think the Aesop Hand Balm also wins when it comes to the smell. The Soap and Glory does different ranges through the years but I find that there is always quite sickly and really sweet smelling. The Aesop has a more mature smell to it, it is quite strong though but I love that. If I apply it in the office everybody knows that I have used it!

I really love the Aesop Hand Balm, that much may have been noticeable from this post. I know it is hell of a lot more expensive but I think it is worth every penny. I know for a fact that I will be repurchasing when I inevitably run out!

As normal here on my blog I will leave a link down below to where you can check the product out.

Also, if you have any comments or questions be sure to leave them below and I will get right back to you. Let me know in the comments below what hand creams you all use and swear by!
