Real Techniques Setting Brush Review

After I have applied foundation I have to set everything into place. I have normal to oily skin, so if I don’t set my face throughout the day I can look a little oily especially if it is a hot day. So I hoard face powder and the brush that I like to set me under eyes with is this Real Techniques Setting Brush.

I wanted to do a post all about this brush because it really is such an amazing brush. I love everything about this brush and I think that I now own 3 of them because it is just my go to brush. I like to use this brush primarily under my eyes. It makes this area really flawless and when I press the powder in it makes the area look airbrushed.

How I like to use this brush is I will take my Laura Mercier Translucent Powder and I will press this brush into the powder. Then I will pack the powder onto the area underneath my eye and create quite a thick layer. Then I will be using the same brush knock the powder away.

This Real Techniques Setting Brush is really soft and I have washed them all so many times and they come out as good as new. I also like this brush because it is small enough just to throw in my bag and be on my way, then as I get shiny throughout the day I can just touch up using whatever powder is still on the brush.

Real Techniques brushes have become a real staple both in my personal makeup kit and my professional one, they are inexpensive but the quality is amazing. I highly recommend this brush to everyone because it does the job so well and it feels really great on the skin.

I do want to try the Morphe E48 brush for applying powder under the eyes but it is like gold dust trying to get one of them in the UK, everybody seems to have ran out of stock and isn’t getting any more. And I know I can order from the US and get it shipped over but they don’t calculate your taxes or duties and I have been stung with that before when UPS have been at the door demanding money!

So if you know anywhere that sells that Morphe E48 brush over here in the UK please do let me know!

I will link below to the Real Techniques Setting Brush in case you want to check it out. As normal please leave me any comments that you may have or drop me an email and I would be more than happy to get back to you!
