November Favourites

In November I didn’t actually try any new beauty products which is a little strange to me. I haven’t been trying to save money or anything I just think it is because I have been so busy that I haven’t had shopping time with been out of the country with work.

So this month I have just been using the makeup that I have previously thrown in a drawer. I made a conscious effort to try and use a different foundation every day, which didn’t end up going to plan, because I tried one out and then just stuck to that.

Anyway, without further rambling, let me jump into my November favourites.

1)             Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation

When I first tried this out through the summer I have to admit that it wasn’t really a winner to me. The foundation itself is lovely but because of my oily skin tone I just couldn’t seem to get it to work for me. But this has been my go to foundation since the weather has dropped to near arctic conditions. It hasn’t really been getting about 3 degrees here recently and even though the area around my nose is oily, the rest of my skin has been getting pretty dry in these Baltic conditions. So this foundation has been a dream. It is lightweight with a texture similar to water so my skin relishes in how nice and moisturising it has been!

2)         Urban Decay Naked Weightless Concealer

This has been mentioned so many times now here on my blog and this post is no different. I have just never tried a concealer before that is as good as this one. I am now on my 2nd tube of this in the space of a couple months which just shows how much of a fan I am of this stuff.  It is really thick and creamy and when I use a Beauty Blender it blends out like a dream. I already know that I am going to get a couple shades of this stuff because I love it so much!

3)         Lilly Lashes in Mykonos

For winter and all the Christmas parties that I am going to I wanted to try some new lashes. Normally I just live in the Ardell Wispies or Demi Wispies and I very rarely mix it up. But I thought I would splash a little cash and get some pricey lashes, which these were, at £30 I nearly died paying for them. But I have to admit, I love them. They are dramatic but Wispie and full and that is just how I like them. Also, because of the thick but flexible band they are easy to apply and really comfortable to wear.

4)         MAC Cork & Omega

These two eyeshadows are my go to. While I have been travelling, these are the two key eyeshadows that I have been using. I like to use a wash of the shade Omega across the eyelid, then I like to blend the shade Cork into the crease to add definition. Cork is also a great shade for blending into the lower lash line because it isn’t too deep.

5)         Bobbi Brown Stick Foundation – Chestnut

I am sure that this isn’t the first time that I have mentioned the Bobbi Brown foundation stick. I got this for contouring which is why I got it in the shade Chestnut. The reason why I love this product so much is just because of how quick and easy it is to use. Just wind it up, apply where you want to contour and then it takes second to blend away. Not to mention that it is also amazing for travelling with because of it been in stick form!

I know this post is a lot shorter than my other favourites posts have been but to be honest I just haven’t really been trying out that much new makeup. I must try harder for next month’s favourites!

As normal I will leave links above to where you can check the products out that I have mentioned. Please leave me some comments below and let me know what you have been loving throughout November!
